He offered a 3 star CB to get a 4 star RB. The 4 star RB got the number 1 recruit in the country. Number 1 has gotten a QB to give up a scholarship for the oppertunity to walk on. As for this Carter deal, I never said he was perfect.

I remember people accusing us of offering Kevin Alexander to get CJ (which was false), and he turned out to be a solid player for us.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

I agree, i appreciate the point the OP was making. Everyone's acting like we're getting Nkemdiche and a bunch of scrubs, when the reality of the situation is far from it. 3 guys that, put together, average out to 4 stars, and a new scout team Qb. Not a bad haul when you consider tht one of those 3 is the best Hs senior in the country.

10-15 years ago we would have had to fought tooth and nail to get a commitment from Kamara a 3* DB. Ryan Carter would have been a normal recruit.
