Dabo Has a Golden Opportunity with the Portal This YearHeres Why

1. Bluebloods are bleeding talent.
Several elite programs are firing coaches with rosters full of blue-chip players. Those kids didn’t sign up for chaos—they’ll be looking for stability, development, and a shot at the playoff. Clemson can offer all three.
2. The same goes for recruits.
When coaching staffs implode, so do recruiting classes. Former 5-stars are back on the market, and many are open to a fresh start. If Clemson wants to reassert itself as a destination, this is the moment.
3. The deep end is wide open.
If Dabo ever wanted to dive into the portal and NIL era with both feet, this is the year. The combination of coaching turnover, portal depth, and NIL leverage won’t align like this again soon. Wait too long, and Clemson risks watching rivals reload while we tread water.

Does look like a great opportunity to pick up some good talent out of the portal. I’d bring in Napier as O analyst not OC and see if he can bring in some of the Florida guys and help with some of the Florida recruits. Tom Allen should be able to get some of those defensive guys from Penn State since he was their DC last season.

FSU might do something with Norvell at the end of the year depending on how FSU finishes and they will have some stallions on that rosters that might jumps ship. Auburn and Wisconsin are a few more schools.
I know $$$ is a piece of the issue but schools have a max on roster space.
If Dabo sticks around I hope he takes advantage of this potentially good opportunity.

To be honest, I would not be surprised either....
Think of all the 4-5 stars we were in the final 4 or 5 for that decided to go elsewhere (can't blame a kid for going somewhere else).
So they have been on campus, they know the coaches.... We have already offered them.
I would think with all these openings (coaching vacancies), a lot of high quality players might give us a good look for stability in this chaotic college football landscape.

While other programs reach out to those players committed to schools that have fired coaches, Dabo waits on them to decommit. His position, while probably noble, ends up screwing him out of a chance to land most of that talent.
It's a self-imposed rule that ties his hands just like so many other of his "rules" do.
