I have not ran into many that are feeling real confident but I’m not on their boards.

I work with a coot and all I hear about is Rattler and the transfer portal. This guy is confident that the playoffs will expand and that’s their ticket to the national championship.

The guy couldn’t win big games at Oklahoma and he’s going to win at scar? He got benched. There reality check is going to be hard.

Baby Rattler already been benched at OU

If he couldn't get it done with the OK players, how does he plan to get it done in 1 season with a bunch of 2 and 3 stars? Good luck to Baby... he'll need it.

Rattler is just another in a long line of Saviors who wander through the revolving door for the Coots. The last 5* QB savior that came in only lasted a couple season and he limped outa there the first chance he got. Connor Shaw was a true warrior and a winner and as far as I can tell, the only Leader that ever played the position down there.

that got benched playing against Big 12 defenses. He’s a perfect fit and they should be excited.

You hit it on the head Big 12 defenses. Wait till he gets introduced to the SEC defense.

Did he get busted for smoking weed at school or something? I just remember he let his team down in the big moment. Definitely not a leader.

Shane got him a good edge rusher from NC State today. Supposed to have another big transfer on the way too. Coupled with the HS class he's getting this year, they're through the roof. Hate to admit, but I'm rather impressed.

Yep. This worries me a bit. They are going HARD after guys in the portal. There are SIX good guys that are looking at the coots and Shane got Two of them today. I don’t know ### he is selling these kids but they’re listening. As we’ve seen in the past, the portal fills holes and we BETTER keep up or we’re going to get left behind. Go Tigers!

They’ve got the Burgundy Trust grift set up so fat lawyers and bankers in Cootlumbia can pay them what they want, just like they do in Tuscaloosa.

Shane is a Dabo clone. I'll get smashed for saying it but Dabo would agree. Tons of respect. Oklahoma asked Shane if he wanted to come back and he told them no.
He's building from the inside out. Won't be at all surprised if they're number 2 in East next year. They, like us lost a lot of their oline to injuries this year. But they have a creative oc that can recruit. Won't be this year, but 23 in Columbia, they'll give us a game.

Clemgalalways®, you may not have seen it but earlier today the very good TNet poster who's the FSU fan (bretfsu®) had compared FSU's situation and their use of (and desperate need for) numerous portal players vs. Clemson's situation and use of (with only modest need) for portal players. The salient aspect of his post was the programs with huge deficiencies and not enough starters for the upcoming season (i.e., FSU and S.Carolina types) plug the holes in their boat by bringing in numerous portal players with the intention (or need) as starters. These portal players are the metaphorical mercenaries. The better led of these 'desperate' programs (among which I regretfully consider FSU and S.Carolina as belonging) also attempt to 'build from the inside' by attracting good HS players which they develop and more easily incorporate in the program's culture. These players are the 'patriots.'
Bretfsu considers Clemson to be in the 'minimal need' for portal players, with the 'mercenaries' being used primarily for depth but in some cases to compete for starting positions (i.e., the UVA portal Center Otawani (sp?) who ended up going to Michigan). We have already built our program from 'the inside' and have a bunch of 'patriots' and even after getting a few portal 'mercenaries' our program will retain virtually all of its cultural attractiveness.
All of this tedious monologue is intended to conclude that U.of S.Carolina may well be on the right path, but that expecting them to compete against us in 2022 is unrealistic, and that only if things fall right for U.of S.Carolina will they be able to compete with us in 2023.

Do you even read my post. Btw, thanks for the TD. Haha like I give a ####. I know Bret. Read and talked to him before. I know a lot of ppl. Get ur #### together b4 accusing me of anything.
Zero I said was wrong. I never implied a #### thing about Clemson using the portal. I said explicitly to the Fla poster imo it won't be this year but maybe 23 b4 they can compete with us.

He is no clone of Dabo. Dabo wouldn’t have cheated like Beamer and bought an opponents playbook. He should change his middle name to Wakileaks.

When the dirtpeckers get to 11 consecutive 10 win seasons, six playoff appearances, two national championships then we can start talking about "Dabo clone"...

Agreed... very entertaining. I still don't understand why we would want players who have been benched on lesser teams.

People forget he is recruiting for this year and having to make up lost ground from last. It was horrible last year. Coming from way behind.

The Tigers destroyed them missing a bunch of the team too. I don't see what is going to lead them to victory. He is going to be running for his life due to pressure and they also won't be able to run the ball. They may score 17 if they have a great game.

There last few recruiting classes left a lot of holes that needed to be filled. The place is a coaches graveyard. I believe Beamer to be a good coach but would have ran as fast as I could to that VT job.
