Dabo and Clemson Football
Dec 31, 2013, 9:44 AM
|
|
First off I am a gamecock fan. I enjoy a good ribbing when we win and when we lose. Believe me I have endured a lot of pain over the years. I especially love getting into it with one of my best friends that I say, "Wears the orange filled Dabo goggles"! Anyway, I want to give him credit for finally coming clean with me. He said he actually hates it when Dabo:
1. Leads the team onto the hill and stands there cheerleading before the game and runs down the hill first. 2. Runs his mouth with over zealous stats. 3. Pumps it soo hard that it always seems he is vying for his job.
How do you guys feel about it?

Well said, and no, there really is nothing else after that statement that needs addressing. I just wasted a paragraph on him that I shouldn't have taken the time to waste. He obviously is person who thinks his coach acts better, and that along with his statement about being a coot reinforces his lack of judgement and credibility.

Dabo and Clemson Football

First off I am a Clemson GRAD and a huge Tigers fan. I enjoy a good ribbing when we win and when we lose. Believe me I have endured a lot of pain over the last 5 years. I especially love getting into it with dumb coots that I say, "Wears jorts and sports a mullet"! Anyway, you worry about your dumb program and we'll worry about ours. Coots actually hate it when I say:
1. This has been the best 5 years of your program's history and you have nothing to show for it other than 5th place rings and some wins over an ACC school. 2. Spurrier is a drunken idiot. 3. This is the last year for the BCS bowls and USuCk never got to play in one.
How do you guys feel about it?

1-2 BCS bowls is a stupid rule limiting only 2 teams from one conference. If that rule did not exist the orange would take SC over us any day. It would #### the ACC off but the paperwork is already signed to continue our partnership so who cares who gets mad over one years choice.

The only thing keeping them from 1-2 BCS bowls is them failing to win.
Beat UT this year, get to the SECCG, and they get a chance to make it to a BCS game.
Multiple losses to AU the last several years prevented a possible BCS game.
You can buy into that excuse if you want to, but their destiny is in their own hands when it comes to getting to a BCS game.

Dabo does very little on gamedays.
Dec 31, 2013, 9:54 AM
|

he does not call plays on either side of the ball. Im sure he has some input but not a lot. He deals with subs and chewing out players for bad mistakes but other than that his biggest thing is clock management. We all know his clock management is suspect at best. I wish he could take over play calling in this offense but he cant. When you hire a WR coach when our WR were not exactly our strength this is what you get. If Dabo had D. Dooleys personality he would have got canned after last years SC loss but he has a great personality for people who like being told only good things (sadly our fan base) therefore we have 5 straight 10+ pt losses to SC and he appears to be as safe as Jimbo at FSU.

If he just beats SC I'll be "All In" as he puts it.
I would also like to not lose by 10+ when we do lose. I think the number is like our last 7 loses have been by 10+ with 2 as large as 37 and a few more in the 20s.

He has risen to the status of D1 Head Coach doing what he does. If it takes showmanship on his part to win, let him do it and leave him alone. Luckily we do not have a coach that is universally known as being a miserable @ss.

2 & 3 are basically the same thing, and you can't expect him to feel as secure at his age as Spurrier is.
Now, you come clean. What does Spurrier do that you hate??

Thank you for your honest response. And that is a great question.
1. Sometimes he is extremely hard headed, ie the UT game, questionable play calling. 2. Sometimes I wish he had a little Dabo in him, meaning give the players a little bit more credit. 3. Although I find his post games and interviews funny, he looks agitated all the time.
I will be the first to admit that I hated him when he was at Florida, mostly because he always whipped us and let s know about it too! That being said, I wish he did that more often now.

I'd say your friend is not much of a Clemson fan, if he really feels that way. Maybe he had rather have the jerk you guys have "leading" your program. If so, he hasn't much class. I forever am glad we don't have your "coach" involved with our program, but he fits in nicely down there.

He is one of the biggest jerks and embarrassments of all time. He has won games, even in cola, and that is big news, but the baggage he brings is not something many outside of coot nation care for. He is a jerk, plain and simple, but he is your jerk, and he has delivered some state championships to you. That makes you happy. Enjoy it, but don't expect others to think he is God's gift to college football.

I bet he tells you, or he should tell you, how he hates Slurrier and his alcoholic problems. And how he wishes that Slurrier wouldn't embarrass the State of SC by appearing in public places in a drunken stoooooper!!! We CLEMSON would much rather have a happy, silly, talkative Christian man talking for Clemson than a DAILY DRUNK!!!! We enjoy a little ribbing also, but its not much fun when its directed toward an alcoholic.

the gamecocks cheat, admit poor students, have more off the field issues than any team and have a good coach but one who isn't very well regarded by others in the profession. The gamecocks are a laugher and those who continue to buy into their crap are very foolish.
