Look, I know the last few seasons were not up to “the best” standards. A lot of folks looked towards CDS and wondered if he was the problem. Admittedly, I was one of those people. But when it looked like he may leave for Bama, it hit home that the best thing to ever happen to Clemson football may be leaving. And that hurt.
I for one, am super excited to know that he’ll still be leading this team down the hill and didn’t leave for what I’m sure is, his dream job. That means a lot. I don’t really know the point of this post other than I’m really glad that CDS decided to stay with us and right this ship, and get this program back on top. There’s unfinished business and I’m glad and proud that he’ll still be our coach to get us there.

Never has Dabo said nor implied that 'Bammer was his dream job. He has consistently stated that he loves Clemson and is excited about his future here.

Agreed. If Bama was his dream job, he would be there now. It may have been at one time but his blood runs orange now.

By the time Dabo is through Sabo may look like Jip and the third grade reader!

Dabo is baked into this culture now. He is Clemson. The Journey it has been to get to this point has been unreal. Being a D+ hire to pulling an entire university, players and staff into believing for one thing, which is greatness. Then achieving that greatness and reaching the mountain top multiple times, to getting down in the valley and digging back out of it this past season. His vision for this university has been accomplished. He has sustained greatness. Clemson is about one Family, but also being all in, will to win, never quitting, believing in each other. When you see your entire vision and then some come to pass, it’s hard to leave that. He’s done everything at Clemson that he could have accomplished at Bama. I’m glad he is our head coach. And you know what if he ever decides to leave and coach somewhere else, he’s earned it.

On a scale 1-10 Dabo was a 15.

I loved the man's attitude and passion when he introduced himself. I was satisfied he was honest and sincere and wanted to see him get at least 5 years to build a program because he started with so little to work with.

Folks everywhere laughed at Clemson and Dabo, back then. His name became a joke when he accepted the HCing job.

This place went nuts. People were ready to quit IPTAY and turn their backs on Clemson. That went on for many years after Dabo was hired. Some of us continued to beg for patience in others to allow him to show what he could do.

That's the same group who were laying awake at night during those playoff seasons wondering when Saban would reture and Dabo would leave.

I've believed since day one Dabo was honest. When he said 'God told me to bloom where I'm planted,' I was satisfied it would take a Word from God to move Dabo.

Serious coaching changes, loss of generational type QB’s. I’m extremely impressed with Coach Swinney’s leadership.

He is already in his dream job. AND Dabo has always made the necessary changes when he sees the need. He knows where we need to improve- everybody will see a greatly improved team this year- COUNT ON IT!

If a coach stays at a place long enough they will have a few down years. Except Saban. If 9-10 win seasons are the down years then life is pretty good.
Dabo has a plan for the future and I'm confident he will be successful.
