the Prudential Financial "The Rock" and great commercial for the Jumbotron. Get us a piece of the Rock.

Sure, why not? I was trying to think...

... of some tie in with "Death Valley" but thought it would be in poor taste to mention a Mortuary or Crematory company.

Going with The Rock is much better.

That is a cool ad. Seems like ads back then weren't nearly as annoying as today's.

Anything nicknamed "The Roach" and infested with the vermin would never be positive for an insect control company. Same goes for Aquafina advertising pure water with the infamous "doo doo ice".

Waste Management considered getting naming rights for Willy-B.

But the CEO for Waste Management was like “I mean, we’re great, but not even our company can manage the waste inside and outside that dump. We’d tarnish our spotless reputation if we sponsored that monstrosity!”

How about roto rooter as a sponsor to deal with their doo doo ice problems!***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
• Boss

Good to know this thread is only summertime silliness in lieu of some real idea being put forth. Clemson’s Memorial Stadium and Frank Howard Field carries its own brand. Clemson football has earned that over the years. The entire college football world recognizes it as one of the biggest brands across the sport. It might even be considered priceless. Selling out our brand to some corporate name would be really dumb.

How else are we going to generate the dollars to pay players?! Look for Cheese It logos on uniforms. That’s the world we live in now. The bell was rung, the box was opened and all the other cliches.

Maybe Kellogg's would do it and we could use "Tony the Tiger"...
