Well he was owner of Trackhouse Racing until few days ago but he has had a Nascar Team for 4yrs. I am sure that is how he got his gig.

That's an interesting theory, but some would say that when they tried to expand the brand they hurt themselves. They lost much of their base.

Fair enough. They should cater to their country root fans for sure. Pitbull was part of a nascar team tho so idk why people hate on him. Nascar will never be what it was for me in the 90s and early 2000s. When Jr left it really hurt the sport. Chase has brought some life back to the old school fans.

Fix the #### product on the racetrack. Until you do, you're a shell of what you used to be.
If NASCAR worried more about their on track product instead of pre race concerts and trying to make a global footprint (good luck with that, you've already lost half of your American fanbase) then it may actually be #### again.

I was a huge NASCAR fan up until the point where they added stages and the bracketed playoff. Just became a big gimmick. You cant reset the points that many times.

I personally still love it and watch it weekly. Crowd yesterday was awesome and there were some crazy antics at the end.
Some of the stuff NASCAR was doing like the clash in Cali was moved to Bowman Gray which was awesome. Also re did N Wilksboro to host the All Star race.
Stage racing is more interesting to myself because there is more strategy needed which just adds to the drama. I do understand the old timers leaving out at one point but there are still some great tracks and racing going on.
