They are too dumb to realize their brand is worthless. They beat their SEC chest more than anyone else in the league. The SEC would only use them if they have no other option to fill spots.

Non objectively had they won the LSU game they’d be 10-2 and 100% in. They want the ref who made the bad calls “Jason Autry” fired.

I love the irony that, while S.Carolina gets to bask in the media riches which fell their way in large part because of the very recent additions of TX and OK, along with the somewhat recent additions of aTm and MO, the top of the SEC ladder became harder to climb.
Three if the four ~ recent SEC additions are reasonable categorized as FB blue bloods. S.Carolina is thus left looking up at Bama, UGA, TX, aTm(usually), FL (usually), Auburn (usually), TN (usually),and Ole Miss (regularly). Vandy, KY, Miss State are more often than not wins for S.Carolina, but hardly guaranteed wins.
S.Carolina has a good year and wins 9 games. Yet, with the super sized SEC, there are still four clearly better teams and Ole Miss, which pounded S.Carolina this year.
S.Carolina is in sixth spot.
They beat us, yet will play in the Gator Bowl instead of CFP.
