LOL coot friend of mine sent me a text a little bit ago:

Although I gave him no reply, I couldn't help but to laugh and come post it here. Idk about you guys but I never get too happy when one of our opponents get a 4/5 star(whatever Malone is) recruit. Sure woulda loved to have him though

SC never has a great recruiting class. They do a pretty good job of coaching the 2 and 3 stars once they get there, however.

How has all of clemsons top ten recruiting classes been working out for them?
USC is very impressed with the talent ya'll are able to bring in.
West Virginia sure was very impressed by all the 4/5 stars you had on the field.

Small recruiting class = lower overall recruiting rank. They are doing fine. We need to worry about actually developing the talent we bring in.

Is that how you sugarcoat it. Clemson only has 3 more recruits than you and we are sitting at 14. Oh and Virginia has 1 less recruit and they are 8 spots above you. Go away Coot. You may have won this battle but the war is far from over and your about to start retreating for the hills. GO TIGERS

How recruiting rankings worked, you would be quiet and know that I'm right. It's as simple as google, use it. Nobody is retreating anywhere. We recruit to our needs also, not for star power like some other teams around here.

Actually, one of (if not the main reason) South Carolina has won 5 in a row is recruiting.
Bowden's resignation created a void in that year's recruiting class that stayed with Clemson for four years. Also, because of the coaching transition at Clemson, South Carolina was able to improve their in-state recruiting.
No coincidence, that South Carolina won those years.

Clemson finished the regular season with the same number of wins as South Carolina this year.
South Carolina won head to head, but Clemson's losses were both to top 10 teams, whereas neither of South Carolina's losses were to top 10 teams.
Although South Carolina did have big wins and Clemson's win against UGA was probably the lone "quality win" this year. (although any more, I think every win is a quality win because of the parity on college football now.
It also looks like Clemson will be going to a better bowl game.
And South Carolina won the game, yet you are on Clemson's website?

Aw, let's don't get into the 'better bowl' thing. SEC and ACC can only take two schools to BCS bowls. If the Tigers played an SEC schedule all season, and SC played an ACC schedule, the situations would most likely be reversed.

Admittedly I did feel a little sorry about how Robert Nkemdiche bent your school and dabo over, but I didn't feel bad at all about the guy that dropped his commitment because ya'll didnt have a chic fil a. Fix that if you are going to win the fast food wars.

Never happen. This is the ceiling for your program and your about to play in the outback bowl vs iowa. It's just sad. And kentucky and vandy and ole miss get the same amount of sec money as you, which unfortunately means their currently are, and will remain in position to out recruit you guys the rest of the way from here on. They upgrade their facilities too, trust me.

Seems like Ole Miss already out recruited ya'll, good luck dwelling in the basement of your programs storied history, looking at FSU and Miami's tailights. #### your own coach was throwing up a rival school's gang signs earlier this year. To bad clemson can't charge JW with the ###### he gave ya'll in DV this year, that one might stick. ROFLMAO!
