Pubs treat conservatives who send them to Washington to change things like the dems treat the black community. They use them for votes and then forget about them.

I know some that are new to politics and support Trump and a couple of life long Republicans that say they won't vote for Trump(though I'm not so sure they are being honest), but most of my friends are life long Republicans and they are supporting Trump enthusiastically.

Certainly there were pubs who have supported Trump from the beginning, but I am referring to a large group of people who haven't voted in the past that Trump's message of shaking up the government appeals to. After this race, fortunately for progressive leftists like yourself, will again feel disenfranchised. However, it might be better for your agenda that they participate.
I'm sure we both can posit anecdotal examples to support our belief. I've asked on this board, and no one who identifies them self as a conservative supported Trump from the beginning. I also personally no of no other pub that has supported Trump from the beginning. There is the possibility that I run with more conservatives than you do.
I think you'd be hard pressed to with certainty that there is a significant number of people who have no desire to align politically with either party and are only participating as a response to the populist message of Trump.

Maybe you're right. Maybe there is "no other pub that supported Trump from the beginning." Though that seems unlikely, and has not been my experience here in the heart of The Confederacy. Surely, there are quite a few Republicans that are now regretting their support for Trump and are unwilling to admit they supported him from the start. I don't blame them.
If saying he wasn't your first choice makes you feel better, more power to you. But the fact of the matter is, the overwhelming majority of Republicans and Conservatives will vote for Donald Trump on election day and deal with the aftermath for years to come.

I also don't think you can point to a 6-7 year period and decide that things will always be that way. Perhaps in 2004, we could've looked at the trend away from support for gay marriage and decided that it would never be a thing. Or, again, in 2006, we could've looked at the fact that support hadn't changed since 2001 and decided it was a non-issue.
On abortion, things are clearly trending towards the pro-life position. If people realized that pro-choice politicians oppose all restrictions on abortion, then there would be even more people who, at least provisionally, would association with the pro-life position: http://www.gallup.com/poll/170249/split-abortion-pro-choice-pro-life.aspx

Trump's fear-mongering of ripping out a baby at 39 weeks is just that. Fear-mongering. And many who oppose Trump are applauding him for it.

Or are you simply supporting him as a better choice than Clinton? I think that's understandable, and fairly reasonable. What isn't reasonable is thinking he was the best Republican candidate available. If conservative voters wanted to lodge a protest, they should've voted for Cruz. Instead, many of them voted for a boorish celebrity who doesn't seem to care to know anything about governing or policy.

I don't care for Trump. I prefer to face the unknown for the known. I know that we cannot continue the path that we are on and maintain our freedom. We are continuing to drift further and further from the responsibilities that each citizen has to others that is requisite in a free society. You cannot stay free in a society that puts personal rights above responsibility.
Rubio was my choice. He killed his campaign when he decide to impersonate Trump.

I'm voting for Trump - against Hillary. My first choice was Ben Carson, followed by evenly pulling for Cruz/Kasich. Unfortunately, Clinton will beat Trump. Trump says bad things. Clinton does bad things. Neither are great for our country, but I'd rather have the unknown than the massive expansion and corruption of government and it's unchecked programs.
At this point, it would be better if Trump and Clinton left the race and let Pence and Kaine battle it out. Both are safer options for this country.
