Coming from someone who has family in the Bay Area

they don't give a #### about CFB the two schools have two of the worst P5 attendances. Only slight tolerable pro I can think of is how it would be a cool away game destination. Ohio St, Texas, Ole Miss, and TCU played at Cal the last couple years and Auburn will this year

I moved from the area in 2020 after eight years. I can confirm that they don't care a jot about college football. They're into the pro teams if they care about football. I got odd, quizzical looks when I said I watch college football and not pro.

Still, great to watch football pretty much from the time you wake up

Lived out there for a month or so in Oct 2000 working as a consultant. Was mostly in Foster City, San Mateo and Half Moon Bay. Really enjoyed it…but yeah Saturdays were nothing burgers back then as far football.

Love Half Moon Bay. One of my favorite areas and especially the Ritz Carlton and Moss Beach Distillery restaurant. Lived in the East Bay for 5 years back in the mid to late 90's.

The only good thing about adding Stanford for me is

The road trip. I’ve been to San Francisco twice and loved it. Always go to Yosemite National Park! Would love to go there in the Fall so I would be very excited for that road trip.

We spent a week in Napa when we went to the Championship game out there. We had stayed at a B&B in Napa many years before and really liked it so we went back there. The weather in Napa in January was less than desirable but a trip like that in September or October would be something to consider.
