All to be ripped away when the criminal indictments come. That's the only way the university of fl knows how to make money. #hernandezsayshello

1) I doubt Forbes is aware that UF is ripping off their brand. Someone should make them aware.
2) if you're anything like Demarcus Robinson, your life after football is coming sooner rather than later, so they better make up that shortfall somehow.

Perhaps he can have a career illustrating UNC textbooks after football.

Well , another season of that losing to the Coots and Ga Southern garbage and Will Muschamp will be available to our recruiting staff. Maybe he could show them how to photoshop cool magazine covers and stuff. #washedupteam

If you lose a kid because another school appeals to his greed, so be it. But actually, he stands just as good a chance of reaching his goals at Clemson as he does at UF or any other SEC school.

I'm expecting Settle at this point. So I wouldn't be ok with Huggins in Florida for a DJ Jones one year rental.

You don't want Settle. Several programs are dropping off of him due to his 'handler'. Not worth it.

I've known of a few very wealthy, and successful Clemson grads, but I've known of a lot more good men that graduated from Clemson. Come to Clemson and become a good and successful man.

Maybe it is just me, but that pitch seems kinda shallow. They have NOTHING more to offer any big time recruit than any other college can offer him. If he desires to play in the NFL, it doesn't matter if he goes to Duke, he'll be noticed and make his $$$ IF he puts in the effort. That will be expected anywhere he goes.
I say to Huggins, why not be a part of a recruiting class that is clearly building a championship caliber team. We are recruiting at a high level at EVERY position. Come to Clemson Huggins, if you want all the perks INCLUDING a run at the National Title...

Fun Stats & Facts about UF football lately:
Jun 18, 2014, 8:30 PM
|
|
7 ACC schools rank top 100 worldwide producing millionaires. UVA produces more millionaires than UF and does so with less than half of UF's enrollment. Not to mention, UF is ranked in the top 100 b/c they have a Graduate enrollment of 17,000. How many of their millionaires came from athletes who never made it in the NFL?
How 'bout this one-> UF drafted defensive tackles who succeeded in the NFL the past 12 years [excluding Shariff Floyd & Dominique Easley who haven't had enough time to prove anything]: 1. ------- 2. ------- 3. ------- ***that's correct, none have***
The careers of UF defensive tackles drafted the past 12 years 1. Joe Cohen, 5-star recruit 2003: drafted 4th round, plays in CFL. 2. Marcus Thomas, top 5 DT 2003: 4th round, plays in CFL. 3. Ian Scott, USA All American 2000, SuperPrep AA, BlueChip AA: 4th round. Out of NFL by 28. 4. Tron LaFavor, 4/5-star 1999: 5th round. 1 tackle in the NFL. ***that's it. Where are the millionaires? ***
UF underachieving defensive tackles the past 12 years 1. Gary Brown, 5-star, #2 DT 2009: Undrafted. Couldn't avoid trouble at UF. dismissed from team. 1. Omar Hunter, 5-star, #2 DT 2008: Undrafted. 2. John Brown, 5-star, #3 DT 2007: Undrafted. fell apart at UF. transferred. 3. Torrey Davis, 5-star, #2 DT 2007: Undrafted. CFL league. crumbled at UF. transferred. 4. Brandon Antwine, #10 DT 2006. No NFL. 5. Eric Holcombe, 4-star 2003. No NFL. 6. Edwin Herbert, 4-star JUCO 2009. No NFL. 7. Sharrif Floyd, 5-star, #1 DT, top 3 overall by Scout, Rivals, 247: 20 players drafted ahead of him in 2013. Talent to be a top 5 pick.
So realistically, the Forbes cover should've read: "Most amount of underachieving defensive tackles in the country!!"
Heck, let's look at the mass of underachieving 5-star recruits and "Top 10 at their respective positions" lately, basing it on where they were drafted or where CBS NFL Draft Scout has them ranked compared to their high school recruit ranking per 247 Composite.
5-star underachievers besides the DT's above 1. Ronald Powell #1 Overall 2010: 5th round 2014, #169 overall. 2. Joshua Shaw #2 CB 2010: Transferred 3. Jelani Jenkins #1 LB, #7 overall 2009: 4th round, #104 overall. 4. Andre Debose #2 WR, #15 overall 2009: Wont be drafted. Ranked 93rd WR for 2015. 5. Xavier Nixon #1 OT, #21 overall 2009: Undrafted 6. Will Hill #5 S, #18 overall 2009: Undrafted 7. Matt Patchan #6 OT, #48 overall 2008: Undrafted after 5 years at UF. 8. James Wilson #2 OT, #18 overall 2007: Undrafted 9. Deonte Thompson #2 WR, #21 overall 2007: Undrafted 10. John Brantley #4 QB, #26 overall 2007: Undrafted 11. Carlos Dunlap #2 DE, #13 overall 2007: Round 2, #54. 12. Tim Tebow #1 QB, #17 overall 2006: couldn't fix his mechanics. Out of NFL. 13. Percy Harvin #1 WR, #2 overall 2006: Drafted #22 overall. Troubles at UF and was poorly developed as a receiver. 14. Carl Johnson #2 OG, #22 overall 2006: Undrafted
"Top 10 at their respective position" To Underachieve: 2011 Recruiting Year 1. AC Leonaard, #4 TE, #50 overall: Trouble at UF. transferred. Undrafted. 2. Marcus Roberson, #5 CB, #66 overall: trouble at UF. Undrafted. 3. Jabari Gorman, #8 S, #129 overall: 25th ranked S for 2015. Wont be drafted.
[2010 Recruiting Year 1. Chris Dunkley, #6 WR, #35 Overall: Trouble at UF. Transferred. Ranked #125 WR for 2015. 2. Jaylen Watkins [Sammy's brother], #4 CB, #38 Overall: 4th round, #101 overall. 3. Chaz Green #6 OT, #41 Overall. #18 OT for 2015: Likely won't get drafted. 4. Gerald Christian #2 TE, #46 Overall: transferred as junior. #14 TE for 2015. Wont get drafted. 5. Jonathan Dowling #4 S, #50 Overall: Trouble at UF. Dismissed. 7th round, #247 overall. 6. Ian Silberman #8 OT, #62 Overall: #33 OT for 2015. Wont get drafted. Mack Brown #4 APB, #85 Overall: #43 RB for 2015. Wont get drafted.
2009 Recruiting Year 1. Nick Alajajian #5 OG, #70 Overall: Undrafted
2008 Recruiting Year 1. Dee Finley #6 S, #73 overall: Undrafted. Trouble at UF, transferred. 2. William Green #5 SDE, #79 overall: Undrafted 3. Brenden Beal #5 ILB, #98 overall: Undrafted 4. Lerentee McCray #10 OLB, #112 overall: Undrafted 5. Carl Moore, #2 overall JUCO: Undrafted
2007 Recruiting Year 1. Jerimy Finch #2 S, #29 overall: Undrafted. Trouble at UF, transferred. 2. Aaron Hernandez #1 TE, #33 overall: 4th round, #113. Became a murderer. 3. Chris Rainey #5 RB, #39 overall: 5th round, #159 4. Justin Trattou #5 WDE, #88 overall: Undrafted 5. Lorenzo Edwards #6 OLB, #122 overall: Undrafted
2006 Recruiting Year 1. Jamar Hornsby #3 ATH, #64 overall: Undrafted. Trouble at UF, transfer. 2. Jarred Fayson #4 ATH, #84 overall: Undrafted
Seeing as roughly 90% of UF's recent 5-star and "Top 10 at their position" recruits have heavily underachieved and most gone undrafted, perhaps the Forbes cover should read: "Worst NCAA Programs in the Country for Developing Talented Football Players" .... as well as the follow up cover: "Campuses Most Likely to Get a Football Player in Trouble".
Insult to injury, 8 Gators have transferred since the end of 2013 season. Perhaps the Forbes cover should read, "UF, home of the most unhappy players in the country".

Maybe Clemson is not right for them anyway.
Honestly, I don't see Huggins falling for this type of snake oil. He made it pretty clear after his visit last week that he isn't interested in any kind of recruiting pressure.

I think it's terrible marketing. Anytime you have to make a fake magazine cover to grab attention, you seem a little desperate.

recruiting in SC ... only Tramel Terry comes to mind in the past 5-6 years.
Meanwhile, the Peach State exodus across the line the other direction has been pretty dramatic.
Some y'all didn't want ... Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett slipped through because Richt didn't recruit them. His mistake.
Most recently though, Korie Rogers, Milan Richard, Demarre Kitt, Deshaun Watson ... but of course the dawgs didn't really want any of those guys either, did they?
