They didn't hire him to babysit; they hired him to bring CO back to a level of respectability. In the real world, "C" players don't last unless the company wishes to go bankrupt. My goodness we've become so soft as a people and a nation.
Let's get back to making and meeting commitments and being held accountable for our results and get out of this treating everyone the same nonsense.

respectable, relative the football and Wins and excitement for the fans; and
disrespect, relative how kids are treated if they're not favored by the Coach, even though they had already been at the school and committed there in previous years.
Yeah, oxymorons never play well, and it's only Media w*h*o*r*e*s that make it such that Deion (and other clowns) can get away with this sort of crap without public outcry. You'd like to think that if he's going to treat kids that way, then maybe one day the door will swing the other way and hot him on the posterior on the way out.

The team was 1-11 last year, 130th in offense and built around a sustainable losing culture considered to be one of the five worst football programs in the nation.
Yes, it is harsh to have to completely revamp an entire program but that is what he was hired to do. The difference is most people don't have the fortitude to step in and take something like that on, and in the past, they didn't have a transfer portal to make it happen in a hurry. A normal turnaround like this would have taken years but Deion is utilizing the tools available to him to make that happen a lot faster.
You can't coddle kids who can't meet the standard. Same with employees. You do your best to try and help them transition into something that is a better fit, allows them to be successful, and perhaps live a much better life with a lot less stress. But, you also don't hang on to a bunch of non-performers making 20% of the people deliver 80% of the results. That isn't fair to the really good performers and that is why you lose your best people, and retain your non-performers, if you don't do something about it.
This is the real world.

I would bet that it would be hard to find someone on T-Net that really cared about what's happening with the Colorado and Nebraska game.

Colorado's an interesting story
Sep 9, 2023, 12:45 PM
|
|
Can Deion take one of the worst team's in the nation, change 80%+ of the lineup and roster, implement new offensive and defensive schemes with all new players, and immediately move into the Top 25 and past traditional powers like Clemson? Not a Deion fan, but he's done it in one game. Can he keep doing it? That's a story.

Change is possible. But this is results after just one game being fueled by a media starving for ratings. They are blowing up the story for clicks and eyes.

disagree, sure Deion is helping it get more attention, but it's still a pretty big story given the amount of turnover

That's great. There are great atmospheres at Seattle and Kansas City NFL games as well. What's your point?

It’s not about atmosphere. It’s about school pride and amateur sports. Neither of which you have at CU.
It’s entertaining, just not for the same reasons.

You keep reminding everyone why your pulse continues to drop. You would think decimating a roster is an upstanding way to do business. Winning is great but the way you go about it is important as well, at least to me personally. Guessing I may be in the minority which is fine.

Having seen several promos for this matchup, it's not the Colorado-Nebraska game. It's the coach Prime-Nebraska game. Colorado knew what they were getting when they hired him. This has very little to do with Colorado. It could be any program. Regardless of the outcome, I dare say any Clemson fan would stand for too long if every game were Dabo verses whomever with little to no mention of Clemson itself. That's how it's ruined college football.
