It is too bad we missed so many shots tonight that we normally make.

Unfortunately we didn’t make enough to overcome the horrible officiating, especially at the end.
Chase was fouled at least twice on his drive to the basket when we were down two, and again on his last second three point attempt.
Not to mention the ticky tack fouls called on us earlier in the game.
Just horrible officiating all the way around. I’m beyond ticked.

Blaming the officials is a bad look. We didn’t make the shots we needed to make. We let Loserville get too many uncontested breakaways. Chase had a horrible shooting night until the very end. We were dominating them inside but we missed too many shots at the rim. Wiggins committed some really poor turnovers at bad times. We just didn’t play well enough to win. Blaming the officials is cootish.

Agree Judge….we just didn’t hit shots. Louisville is legit top 5 team in the country though…they’ll go deep.

Oh, and Chauncey is a liability (lately). Can’t handle the ball, and hasn’t hit shots.

I think so. Duke, on the other hand, is far and away #1.

in person and the contrast between Duke/UNC and us isn’t debatable. Same court. Same conference refs.
Go back and look at the film of the first half when Heidbreder gets trucked right in front of ref I’ll call Homie. No call. It was ridiculous.

It falls on us but officiating cost us the difference. It allowed them to play thug basketball, run, skip, hop and travel and put our players in foul trouble. That cannot be taken away. It made too much to overcome

Coaching? Should we have just taken a jumper for the tie

or even a three pointer for the win? I know it's easy to second guess after the fact, but that's what you and others do to football all the time. Expecting the refs to call a foul was apparently expecting too much.
Louisville was obviously told not to let him make that shot, to put him on the line and make him make two free throws or better, get a no-call like they did.

Layup was the right call. it’s an easier shot to make and there’s a high likelihood of being fouled, which happened multiple times, but wasn’t called.

He hasn’t made that shot all year??! Thing is we haven’t been shooting the ball well enough to win for the last 6 games . You can get away with it until you face good teams .

The one on our end in the second half absolutely had an agenda. It was pathetic. First half they missed a number of fouls against us then called phantoms the whole second half.
We were there and losing our minds. That hot tube kid was getting away with murder on Victor most of the night. Victor had enough at one point and went after him. Not sure TV caught that.
I hate Louisville and their fans are ghetto trash.

The first line pretty much sums it up. Any sports team has to take bad officiating out of the picture by scoring points. Clemson could not hit the broad side of a barn last night. I hurt for the team because this was the year to bring the tournament trophy home.

Finished 3 rd in worst ACC ever. Finished 3/4 in ACC tourney. Was a good season.

It was not a good ACC this year, but certainly not the worst ever. 22-23 says “Hi”
It’s ok, I know you still consider Georgetown a powerhouse. I love it when a plan comes together.

They've been missing shots the last couple of games.
3 pt shooting percentage is way down.
Heidbreder and Wiggins are walking disasters at the worst possible time.
Yes, it was a great effort.

Basket had a lid on it for a while there, and we got a little panicky.
Having Wiggins out there instead of Dillon Hunter hurts. Ball stops with him too much and we end up with low percentage shots and turnovers. It's frustrating. Heidbreder had his hands full eating up some of Dillon's minutes too. This injury feels kinda like Grantham or Dexter Lawrence going down in 2018. Both of those teams ended up doing great obviously, but at the time of injury, you couldn't help thinking about the difference those players made.
Some people on here are complaining that people are complaining about the officiating. To me, that second degree complaining is a lot more annoying. The officials are part of game, and they were part of this game in particular. They didn't do their jobs last night, and they deserve shade. Chef getting slammed to the ground in the opening possession set the tone. You can't let guys tackle around the rim and then call ticky tack stuff from 10-feet out (see Chase's third foul). It's not basketball without the rules. The refs stunk. I'd have no problem telling them to their faces, but unfortunately, the best I can do is comment on tnet.
Oh well. Brad's career record for consecutive acc tourney wins stands at one. Hope we do great in the dance . . .

We’ve been on a bad trend of scoring droughts and poor 3pt shooting for 4-5 games. Hopefully the mojo of the last 3 minutes will carry forward.

This game’s critical moment occurred with about 20 seconds left in the half where apparently out of frustration Chase chose to challenge the refs to call a 3rd foul on him. They gave him a mulligan on the first and were more than happy to ring him up on the second try. That action set up the conditions that we saw with him on the bench in the second half with 4 fouls while the Cards pulled out to the double digit lead. The officiating was horrible, but Clemson fell right into the trap they had set. Add the poor shooting both inside and outside the paint and that’s the game. Credit Chase and Ian for playing inspired to make the comeback possible, but of course the refs still had their opportunity to impact the outcome.

We finished 3rd regular season, finished 3/4 in ACC tournament. Not too bad.
Timing of no calls was tough, but very physical all around. We play better against less physical teams.
