Indiana is a true blue blood soccer program. They had a similar period of success in the 80s and have actually won 8 NCAA Tournaments: 82, 83, 88, 98, 99, 03, 04, and 12.
St. Louis (SLU, the Catholic school) has the most at 10 and is considered the UCLA of D-1 men's soccer.
Indiana has the second most titles at 8, then Virginia at 7. We're tied at fourth with 4 titles, alongside Maryland, UCLA, and Univ. of San Francisco (another Catholic school).
Stanford won a 3-peat from 2015-2017 (beating us in the 2015 Final and 2019 tournament), and then UNC, Michigan State, and UConn have 2 titles each. The rest each only have one.
As far as Indiana goes, in terms of prestige it's probably one of only a few programs that is somewhat higher than Clemson. Do I think Noonan would leave us to go there? Probably not. I don't see that happening unless they quadruple his salary. Which seems unlikely at this point, last I checked he had a top tier salary after the first title he won. I imagine he'll probably sign an extension with us and up his salary. But I do know he likely has performance incentives like Dabo, so his bonuses go up with each achievement he makes (ACC reg season, ACC tournament, Final Four, Finalist, Champs, etc.).
Ibrahim beat Indiana in the 1984 National Championship game and knocked them out in the tournament en route to the 1987 Championship. Indiana beat us on their way to the 1998 title and knocked us out in the 2001 quarterfinals.
So I would be genuinely surprised if Noonan left for Indiana. But in terms of Men's College Soccer history, Indiana alongside SLU are the schools I could see having the pull to poach Noonan from us.

SLU is located in a crappy urban environment. Literally night and day compared to Clemson’s campus.
Their soccer hay-day is in the distant past and they rarely put up nationally relevant teams any longer.

There is no SEC money in men’s soccer. And we have the best facilities. No reason for him to leave. Big Ten schools have money but not as many of them take men’s soccer seriously or have much history with it

I know nothing about Noonan's personal desires, but in my decade plus of following the program, he has always seemed happy here, and the statements he has made all back that up. I don't know his salary, but I know it's good. The athletic department obviously knows how valuable he is, and he knows what Clemson provides his team as well. There is no better college soccer destination than Clemson right now, period. The facilities, the stadium, the fans, the talent, the recruiting, the winning, the championships, the history, it's all top-notch. So I think it's safe to say that the relationship right now between Noonan and Clemson is a very mutually beneficial one, and a very good one. Again, I have no insider knowledge, but because of all these reasons I just don't see Noonan leaving Clemson for another college program, I don't really see any situation in which that would actually be advantageous to him. Now I COULD see him potentially leaving if he got offered a pro job, like MLS or perhaps Europe. But again, I have no idea if that's what he wants to do. And even a job like that would likely have to be a good one to be enticing enough. So I think we're pretty safe. Mike's happy here, and he has good reason to be.
