I don't think I've ever been as excited as I am for this season even though we are a long shot to make the playoffs the first round is going to be the best sports day of the year and imagine if our tigers were to slip in and have a playoff road trip at Ohio St. or Alabama or possibly even have one of those come to our place man what a day in Clemson, SC that would be.

CaptainCall, you were great in the movie but are totally lost when it comes to football. The game is the same great game it always has been and this will be another great season to watch college football.

Illegal rules?! Do tell. NIL and transfer portal were ruled on in federal court and mandated as law. What illegal rules are you speaking of?
I don’t like them either but they are lawful precedents. Once you open the box it can’t be closed back up. It is what it is. Maybe regulation will make it more common sense and even the playing field. As it stands he rich get richer and the poor can’t compete.

Those violated the Interstate Commerce Act, the Sherman Antitrust Act, the injunction in the Ohio vs NCAA case, the injunction in the Tennessee vs NCAA case, and were blasted by the Supreme e Court in the NCAA vs Alston case.

While I am not a fan of some of the things going on in college football right now, I do agree with you that the on-campus first-round playoff games will be very exciting.

4 extra first round games. 4 additional quarterfinal games.
All prior to the semis and final we are used to.
I'm not sure anyone want to go to that December Notre Dame at Michigan game, though. 😁😁😁

I have to force myself to get into it. I'm forcing myself to browse tnet this week. I used to know every player, their HS * ranking, and most of their stats. Then 2020, politics overwhelmed the sport, it continues to bleed into the sport, and now I can't help but wonder what will happen in the future as the boosters become the deciding factor in win capability. I've heard talk of earnings sharing but who knows. It may level it out at the bottom but Texas, Michigan, ND, and other large booster colleges will certainly be a step above.
