College application essays

When my kids start writing college application essays, will it help or hurt their chances if they write something like:

"I look forward to expanding my knowledge and exposure to new ideas while at the university, but my focus will be on education and not disrupting campus events via protests".

I can't imagine administrators are thrilled with all the recent events on campus.

I'm trying to add some of the "fair and balanced" that you don't get from foxnews.

It ain't all students and faculty, not even close. So generalizations like something about hating jews and getting a scholly are just stupid to make and are plain wrong.

But I'm guessing the students looking to expand their knowledge and to be exposed to new ideas are going to end up siding with the other kids who are against field executions and other war crimes.

College administrators absolutely love morons who disrupt campuses except when it causes blowback among the donor class. Otherwise they would be right there calling for dead jews just like their students and faculty.
