CofC pitching this season

Jun 19, 2015, 9:43 AM

Didn't they lose one of their best pitchers to injury prior to the season?

I am a big CofC fan (grad) as well as a Clemson fan.

Yes. CofC lost their ace Bailey Ober to Tommy John before the season. Bailey was freshman all-American last year. We also lost our #3 guy Thornton who was kicked off the team prior to the season. We was a freshman last year who pitched great in the regional that we won in Gainesville.

We had to convert our right fielder Brandon Glazer to a pitcher. He ended the season in our weekend rotation and had like a 11-3 record.

I hate it for CofC that we lost Monte. One great coach. Matt Heath (CofC pitching coach) would be a great hire for CofC and a homerun hire if he comes to Clemson as pitching coach. We will see.
