Robbie Caldwell was one of the speakers at the Laurens Touchdown Club today and he shared some tidbits about the beloved Portal. As of this morning there were over 5300 people in the Portal. 5300! He said the last few years, of the 33 players that entered the Portal from our team only 3 played more than they were playing for us. He did not share much of his opinion but you could tell that he thinks the Portal was good for players that are just not good enough to play at the school they are at but not much else. He did say changing schools will not help players get to the NFL because the scouts will find them where they are.

I have no idea what a Tiger Pulse is nor do I care. As a 70 year old retired man, I enjoy looking and laughing at TigerNet but I would never pay for a fan site or care that others do because that is their business. The joy in TigerNet for me is laughing at people who refuse to accept that honest feedback is not acceptable because they do understand reality. To live and die over any game is just really sad. Enjoy the games and support the Tiger coaches and players win or lose as I have all my life and I promise you will be happier.

What people need to understand is that the successful transfer portal players are the ones recruited into the portal. The other 5280 players in the portal are playing a mostly losing game of musical chairs.

For the life of me, I don't understand why people that read 5 of his 10 posts can't come to the same conclusion more consistently. Maybe I just answered my own question.
