It would be great if he stays at Clemson even if pursued by Indiana who has great hoops history. Maybe then Clemson hoops would get some of the respect it deserves.

Brad, Dabo, and Erik, all love it here. You can tell those 3 HC's also have a great amount of respect for each other and get along very well. I know it's instigated by a very small fraction of basketball only fans, but this pitting of our sports versus one another needs to stop.

Why would any established coach want to go there after Bobby Knight? Bobby Knight you ask, he's been gone for 24 years! Well the next coach at Indiana will be the 7th coach since Knight's departure. That's a long hangover. In this new era, CBB would never get ~15 years to build a program there. He would be lucky to get 4 years. CBB is fine where he's at.

Why would it take anyone 15 years to be successful at IU? They basically have everything in place which was not the case at Clemson when Brad arrived.

Yet 5 of the 6 coaches since Knight failed. Sampson had it going in the right direction, but was forced to resign over illegal contact with recruits. But I don't think that is even a thing now with NIL and the portal. And he has been very successful at Houston.
With all the support Indiana has, the history, the fan base, the donors, etc, then you would think at least 1 of those five would have been successful.

I will say this the amount of turnover there has done them no favors. One thing if Brad wants some info on them Tom Allen may be helpful but with the ever changing aspect of college athletics some key players may be new since he left.

Because no place really has everything in place these days. When Knight was the coach, he could get the best players in the country and they played at IU 3 to 4 years. He didn't have to worry about one and dones, recruiting the same player every year, unlimited transfers and NIL. All he had to worry about was controlling his temper.
It's a different world today.

Given the fact that Clemson has been EXTREMELY loyal to CBB, it’s interesting that he did not choose to emphatically reciprocate when given the opportunity.

Yeah that sounds like there is no chance he stays. I bet Spud has already sold CBB's house.

He said he wasn't going to discuss other jobs rather than saying I have no interest in any other jobs.

He's definitely going to think hard on this one...probably his dream job with big bucks. I wouldn't like if he bolted, but I'd understand
