I am no fairweather fan, and although this loss....

hurts, anything can happen from here to the final selection. Obviously we will need to win the ACC and play the best next couple of games that we can. Did we need a loss to help "wake us up"? Probably, but I think for all the seniors on the team to lose this game, a fire can be lit in our squad and we can finish strong.

I can remember when people would be happy with a 8-4 record and a bowl win. My, how times have changed as well all expect perfection. Although I am 26 years old, a youngin' in the minds of many of you, I look at these players that are atleast four years younger than even me, and they are playing their hearts out.

We always look back at a woulda, coulda, shoulda done this and that, but the game just didn't go our way today. We have a great team and I won't take anything away from PITT as they played a great game, but like many of you I am unhappy with the officiating. I can point to many plays that should have gone our way, ie the K'Von Wallace PI.... But the interception at the goal line hurt us bad. We are excellent at 4th down conversion and I do not take anything from the coaches. Knowing what we had known then I would have gone for it then as well but now that we know the outcome, we would have done something else.

Fact is, I have just taken a shower after watching the game, and have quickly changed into my Clemson Shirt and hat. I will always support this team and losses ALWAYS sting, but we see what the team is truly made of after an event like this.

There are still possibilities for us to make the playoff, and its easy to focus on what will happen then, but I would rather us only focus on next week, and to beat our next opponent.

Sadly I will probably have another post later tonight after I cool down a little bit, but as the title says, I am NO fairweather fan and have cheered for Clemson my whole life. I don't intend to stop now.

Go Tigers.

Being ranked #2 and losing to Pitt is rough...

But I agree with you, no fair weather fan here. Everyone back away from the ledge---9-1 is still a great record!
Go Tigers!!

Time to turn over a new leaf. The real work begins tomorrow.

I did like that though: "Back away from the ledge!" :)
