After the draft I figured he probably just left and never informed them he was leaving, just stopped paying the bills and figured they would figure it out

They'll just claim that they had a hard drive crash and get away with not submitting the records. It worked for the IRS so the Property Management Co. will try the same thing.

Sounds like this action was served and settled out of court, since it was filed Monday and a court date is usually 7-10 days after filing, based on availability.
