Clemson's future

May 21, 2012, 10:25 PM

I do think what we are seeing in all this Big 12 talk is almost similiar to the talk that happened with Texas A&M, Missouri just floated along. The same will be of FSU and Clemson, FSU will bolt and Clemson will float in. Also in the mix is ND and Louisville and possible that Va Tech and Miami will follow too.

The first school to announce will be Louisville, no shocker, then FSU will along with ND and Clemson.

But that is not all. Miami and GT will announce their plans to jion the SEC. This will lead the ACC to go after high educational institutions like UConn, Rutgers, Army and Navy.

SEC will be the first Mega-Conference with 16 teams, 4 divisions and a mini playoff system to determine a champion. All other conferences will follow suit and the death of the BCS is done.

Va Tech and one other Tabacco Road school, I say NC State, will jump to the Big 12 to make it a Mega-Conference.

Your vision of the future is clouded.

Ga Tech ain't going to the SEC. They have already been there and left. Miami is no longer a big boy. They are planning to de-emphasize sports.

Sounds backwards from what I've read. Louisville might go to the Big 12, but they're pretty far down the list. FSU and Clemson will be the first to announce they're going.

The SEC will not add any schools from any existing SEC state. That rules out Miami and GT. VT and either NC St. or UNC are the SEC's targets because that would add two states to the footprint. Some believe the SEC will start their own network similar to the B1G. The more states in the footprint the more money they make from the subscribers in those states.
