He actually moved the bat back in front of the plate and in front of the catcher. I don’t know the rule well enough but think it may have been the correct call. Regardless - he knows his guy is going and he needs to make sure any move is down and/or away. Look like he was trying to give help to his guy that he didn’t need and got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
