Prices will go up for another week or two...

...as excitement grows w/ players showing up.
About August 15th the prices will come back down as some who thought they could go - will realize it's a holiday weekend and "oh crap, have commitments"....folks will need to pay off their credit card they used to buy them, etc.
Lower deck seats will be available for sub $200, and likely sub $250 for really, really good seats the week before the game.
Even more fun will be folks saying, "just trying to get back what I paid for them". Ahhh, what you paid has nothing to do w/ the value you will be offered later.

I know several people who have tickets for sale.....

and in each case, the people are asking upwards of $300 each for them.
Some tickets on Stubhub are in the $600 to $750 range.
Heck...I know one guy who sold his parking pass to this one game for $1,000.
Excecting to find tickets to this game at or near face value seems very unrealistic.

there is a picture from the seat location on the ad...look like OK seats. Looks like my dad probably should have asked for more for his 50 yard line (literally sits on the 50) south stands lower deck, about 4 rows below the portals.

The excitement/anticipation surrounding this game is HUGE

and I think the vast majority of people who are expecting to find good/cheap seats at the gate prior to kickoff are going to be disappointed.

Ticket prices are actually steadily decreasing on StubHub

You can get a pair for $219 apiece now, down from $265 just three weeks ago.
A pair of lowers is now $300, down from $383 three weeks ago.
I think sellers were initially seeing what they could get, and there was little to no movement in the marketplace, so prices are coming down now. I would suggest waiting even longer if you go this route.

I don't think you will see them drop below $200 at least for the more preferred seating.
I actually had a guy call me this morning asking if I could help him get four in the lower deck. I told him probably not four together and probably not for less than $1,000.
He thought I was kidding.

I don't think lowers are going to go for less than $250 online, especially 4 together. I think we might see upper corners go for $180 or $190, but we'll see.
The market can be tough to figure out. I've always had great luck taking my chances and buying AT the game, when people are just looking to unload whatever extras they've got. I've always had good luck at Clemson-- always seems to be a lot of tickets floating around before kickoff.
I went to Bama/LSU two years ago in Tuscaloosa. We got 4 online for $1,360. They were top deck endzone-- actually ended up being great seats except for when the action was inside the opposite 20. Anyway, it was the most I'd ever spent for a ticket-- $340-- and I was regretting it. But, when we got to the game, there was NOTHING. One guy was selling lower corners (worse seats than ours) for $400 each and he only had two.

If this was Texas A & M, Florida, Oklahoma State, Texas, or Michigan, people would probably have a little better luck since fans of the opposing team would have so much further to travel.

I remember they brought a ton of fans in 2003. There had to be 15-20k Georgia fans.
