My great aunt Mrs. Walker passed this past Sunday She worked in the Clemson ROTC program for many years.

If you don’t mind sharing, what years was she there? Was she Army or Air Force? (I only ask as I was in AFROTC from ‘78-‘81).

It was Army ROTC, meant to put that in the title. No sure on years but she was 87 when she died so I would imagine she was there in the 80's

Your great aunt was as great lady. She was the first person I met at Army ROTC after I arrived, and I saw her often in my 4 years of school. Then I got the honor of working with her as a part of the ROTC staff after commissioning for a few months before I headed to OBC. We'd sit for coffee most every morning before getting things going. She made that operation zing - she was on top of everything. She was smart and a good reader of people. But most of all, she was kind and caring. In the top of the list of the many great people who helped me on my way through Clemson. I'm sorry to hear of her passing, and send my condolences to her family. She was a remarkable woman who had a positive impact on me and many others like me. RIP.

Thanks for sharing that story, I will definitely passed it along to the family. I mostly remember her from my early childhood and hadn't seen her in years but both her and my grandmother sound very much alike.
