According to Clemson Police Dept:
Clemson has been ranked as the third safest city in SC on the newest SafeWise Safest City Report. Clemson's violent crime rate was 0.49 (per 1,000) compared to the SC average of 6.14 and the national average of 4.49. Clemson's property crime rate of 19.16 was also lower than the state and national averages of 42.06 and 27.11, respectively.

We stopped in Gaffney the other weekend on the way to concord and that place is rough. I know when you watch the news they are killing each other there hourly. In the middle of the day you see some rough folks walking around, I could imagine how rough it would be at night.

Gaffney is only second from the bottom - Anderson beats all comers for the worst. That is at least lately, at any rate, imo.
