He literally carried us to nearly a national championship almost by himself. Our defense was pretty good the first half of the season, but didn't provide us with much room for error during the 2nd half of the season. I know he had some help (though he did loose his best playmaker on the outside), but I don't know of a single player Clemson in history who carried as much of a workload as he had to last season with that level of team success (Spiller had a big load, but we didn't win at this level). 4000yds passing, 1000 yds rushing, team success, and awards galore. To me that already makes him the GOAT. Some will say he has to do it over a three year period, but frankly I've seen enough to go ahead and make the leap.

that DW had last year. Comparing the 2009 Clemson football team minus CJ Spiller to the 2015 Clemson football team minus Deshaun Watson, the '15 team wipes the floor with them with a totally green Kelly Bryant at QB.
Dang, you don't even need to go to the whole team. I think CJ could have carried us a loooong way behind last year's OL.
DW's RB is a #### good one. CJ's QB was....not. I could go on.

Who is your first pick?
DW4 would be nearly impossible to trump. CJ would be up there, but don't forget about Sammy, Nuk, Dwayne Allen, and all the other great Clemson defenders like Dawkins, J. Davis, Bowers, G Adams, etc.

Great point. I would argue that snagging CJ is the reason we got Sammy. Allow me to add Tajh Boyd (the Tajh Dozier ). The images of TB beating up LSU and who can forget 4th & 16? That and his performance against TOSU, wow, probably some of the best recruiting film ever. Additionally, like CJ, Tajh continues to be a force for Clemson.

Love Tajh for everything he did and continues to do. Just don't think he can ever be mentioned in a GOAT conversation given his record versus the coots.
