In 2015 He / Clemson threw a Pizza party for just REACHING the playoffs and nothing the following CFP appearances.....?.......so that example rings hollow for me.
Also, essentially anything Clemson Football related is Fort Knox now. We used to flaunt the Operations facility on ESPN/Media and the FAN portion in the front................NOW unless you're in the inner circle you can't even get into the parking lot.
point is the fans may have raised their expectations/changed.....................but the Clemson has changed as well.

Clemson has changed for the better - they make it to the playoffs almost every year, win the ACC all but 1 bad year, and a bad year is just 10 wins now. But some of the fans stopped appreciating it along the way. I don't think it's a bad thing for coach to want his fans to have perspective. As a fan who's been watching this go on for over three decades I agree with him. I remember everyone dumping on Brian Kelly when he got us to the playoffs. I knew in that moment that the fanbase was going the wrong direction.

Clemson family has excluded the non inner circle fans. With doing away with pizza celebrations and allowing them into the ops center. Not even the parking lot.

Dabo doesn’t seem to have the same enthusiasm or passion for his job as he used to. Maybe he needs a reminder from the fan base, since our relationship with him seems to have an accountability component now.

Saying that Dabo needs a reminder from the fans and that your comments somehow have any type of accountability with him is a huge stretch. Most of your posts about football show the jealousy you have for the program, so yes it is a continuing theme.

He tells us what to do, but we aren’t allowed to question him or disagree with him.
That’s not healthy.
P.S. My posts about the football program show that I think for myself and can be objective about our team. You should try it sometime.

Wait a minute - I thought he was the cult leader I worshipped? I guess that generalization is sooo last year now?!
You must not read my posts. I made many comments last year about the wide receivers not playing to the level we have gotten used to, DJ not playing well especially the later part of the season, and the fact that our DL wasn’t creating the havoc I had thought they would. Just because I didn’t call for someone’s job or call players names doesn’t mean I wasn’t critical. But I also enjoy celebrating the good things that our teams do. I think this is what Dabo meant by “perspective “ and what Saban was saying as well.
You are allowed to think or say whatever you want. So am I.
I have been the same with my comments the basketball team. Thinking for myself and making objective comments regarding both good and bad. Maybe you should try it sometime.

jealous of the whole Clemson shebang. All of it. It's only potshots from her with the occasional 'save face' congrats sprinkled about to maintain a level of acceptance. Most compliments from her generally include a backhanded swipe along the way for either fans or coaches of our successful programs. Pretty much her entire Brad pumping over the years has been rooted in 'it's all you Clemson fans deserve, so deal with it' type deliveries.
It's a litany of straw man arguments, parroting others' negative narratives, intentionally misrepresenting or simply outright ignoring inconvenient facts, and regularly needling out of both sides of her mouth on whatever the negative slant du jour is at hand.
She is a complete phony. She has outright lied enough times on here that nothing she has stated should be reasonably believed, including her ties to the school.

Dabo said expressed some true and worthy and healthy sentiments about perspective here. I agree and accept the exhortation whole-heartedly. Nevertheless, he should try to avoid pulling the kind of mindless crap and weak excuses and smoke-screen CYA campaigns he did in the last half of the '22 season. He says he blocks out "outside noise," (read: "criticism") but from these comments, it's clear that he does.
He's not wrong about perspective - but it's also true that much of substantive criticism was not a product of a loss of perspective.

I think Dabo must read the social media and it bothers him. Don’t read it. In his rant/ sermon he paints with a broad brush the entire fan base. That’s wrong. Most on the boards complaining don’t even go to games, I would guess. When you couple Dabo’s speech , the last two years of dju quarterback play and doubling my seat equity cost, it makes it hard on a retired fan who has paid and attended since 1979 and has a daughter in her 3 rd year at CU. Just sayin.

Cabo’s perspective example comparing 2011 ACC Championship (5000 fans waiting when the busses arrived) vs 2022 ACC Championship (0 fans waiting when the team returned) represents how the level of enthusiasm has fallen for what would normally been a great accomplishment.
Remember getting your first ‘oral gratification experience’ from your girl friend? Most of said thank you at some point before the end of that session’s activities.
That was 2011.
Now, getting the BJ is routine, and maybe the ‘thank you ma’am’ is overlooked because it’s expected.
That is 2022.

When Dabo dumps on the fans, he is talking about all fans including the die hards. Dabo knows that the team had issues this past season. He has recognized the problem and made changes to correct the issues. He should have left well enough alone, moved on, and not said anything else.
I pay IPTAY dues, purchase season tickets, and will show up for games. I have sat in DV during some ugly games.

My reply posted before I finished typing.
Dabo is now one of the highest paid coaches in the country. Taking that kind of money comes with expectations. Those expectations are not 15-0. The expectation is to be competitive in every game which the team lacked against ND and Tenn.

Well stated. I’ve been around a long time as well and remain a supporter through it all. I love Dabo and what he does/has done for Clemson. That said, if you demand a $12M salary each year, it is expected that you deliver a product consistent with that demand. Just like the CEO of any major corporation. Business 101.

Of course making $12mm per year is motivation for Dabo.
Do not, for one minute, think that the money is what keeps him at Clemson.
There are ~ 20 other schools which would pay him ~ $15mm per year AND his buyout. He knows this, and any Clemson supporter with half a brain knows this also.
If Clemson and Clemson fans continue on this trend of a growing sense of entitlement, then you’ll get your wish and he’ll leave.
So just cool it with the ‘Dabo isn’t earning his money’ idiocy.

“Competitive in every game” … this is the crux of the issue

We won 11 games, but we were not competitive against Notre Dame or Tennessee.
As much as I hated losing by one point to Scar, I can accept that in an intense rivalry, occasionally we are going to come up short. If we never lose, it ceases to be a “rivalry” after all.
But, losing the way we did against ND and UT is pretty unacceptable given the huge investment that has been made in Clemson football at every level for the past decade.
Those types miserable losses are what frustrate and mystify the fan base.
To Dabo’s credit, it appears that he agrees. His decisive move to address our offensive woes is reminiscent of how he reacted after the West Virginia debacle in another Orange Bowl.

always win.
That loss definitely hurts because it didn’t have to happen.
But to me a higher level of concern was the way we looked so helpless and hapless against ND and UT on the big stage.
The Scar game was there for the taking and we just failed to take it. Winning the ND and UT games was never seriously within reach.

About time that we grew up about this ‘Clemson should never get beaten badly’ fantasy.
Great teams get smoked all the time.
OH State was better than MI this year; MI still ended up blowing out OH State.
TN got beat badly by S.Carolina; TN is much better than S.Carolina.
It happens.
We should hate when we get beat. Let’s not lose perspective, however.

I agree, with Dabo, when he sometimes allow his feeling to get hurt, and it has happened several times since he has been the leader of our FB program, he will lash out at the fan base forgetting where that 12 mil a year comes from. Dabo is paid more to lead the FB program that the president is to lead all of Clemson. Does anybody not see anything wrong with picture?

I love the guy, but wish he would keep these comments to himself. He selectively leaves out that he is the 2nd highest paid coach in college football at $11.5 M per year. That’s a lot of joy there. We also have one of the highest paid staffs. Those are just facts and are part of the collective “perspective” he speaks of. Just because people are critical, it does not mean they are without joy. Could you imagine Saban telling Tide fans to have some perspective if they were out of the CFP 2 years in a row? Those are the expectations for him and many other coaches and they are paid handsomely for it. It’s just business.

I don't think he should, he needs to give fans reality checks sometimes as their expectations do get skewed. But that said, the loss to Coots was a head scratcher as there should have been more run plays to help run the clock and an honest opportunity for a more athletic QB to try to run the offense and not a 3 down try on our own 5yd line, an honest shot of running the offense as DJ was totally wrecked mentally half way into the 3rd.
But I think the fans, while not losing support, not losing hope, but seeing Dabo make some questionable decisions through the season but also see a coach that seemed to have lost his fire, spunk and his exhuberant rants on how he is going to fix things instead of his total denial of issues that were blatant.
The best thing Dabo could do for the program and the fan base is exactly what he did snd that was to hire a top OC a d QB coach. This not only supported the naysayers but also showed all the fans that under Dabo we will always be in good hands. And we won't always agree!

Does everyone agree that Dabo sees and hears about the bitching and moaning on Tigernet & elsewhere? Does he worry that this could affect recruiting? Does he hate to see a 3-Star recruit be criticized mercilessly on this site when he in fact knows his potential is 4 or 5-Star? I started Clemson over 50 years ago. I am thrilled with what he is doing and what he will do again! Last year, we only won 11 games, only won the ACC Championship, and had the most academic honorees of any school in the ACC. Sign me up for that in a down year. To coin a phrase, the best is yet to come! Let’s be happy!

Exactly, he done what needed to be done, and after he did the fan base was forgiving, and IMO he should have left it alone without scolding the fan base that pays him to do his job. Dabo sometimes treats the job like a marriage, I do this for you, so you should do this for me!!!!

Thin skinned & entitled Clemson FB fans
Feb 3, 2023, 7:59 PM
|
|
Good for Dabo by pointing out … unambiguously but yet diplomatically … that Clemson’s FB fan base has acquired a growing percentage of brattish, entitled fans.
From looking at many posts on this board, Dabo omitted ‘thin skinned’ when describing those fans.
He doesn’t give two toots about what the Clemson stupidarrati have to say about him. He is obviously a self assured person.
He does, however, realize that an abundance of stupid, Clemson unfriendly posts are indeed read by some players and recruits.
THIS is a problem.
Let’s hope that this growing minority of FB challenged vociferous fans acquire some much needed perspective soon.
Either that, or get out of Dodge.

Saban delivered a much harsher rant to Bama fans a little over a year ago. No need to imagine. It is reality and the link is attached. And it’s funny because the “critics” on here last season kept talking about how they were just being realistic when pushing unrealistic expectations and claiming how out of touch with reality Dabo and his staff were because he and Streeter were the only 2 people on the planet who couldn’t see the offensive issues. Dabo and Saban both know what they are talking about and what they are doing. Dabo, as usual, was just a little more diplomatic in making his point.

Listen to Saban’s video. It explains it well. If fans are complaining or critical about an 11 win season and conference championship during a run of 12 consecutive 10 win season, and winning 11 games 8 out of 11 years, 6 straight playoff appearances, and 2 national championships, their expectations have become unrealistic. Didn’t have to wait long for that explanation of reality. Stick to basketball. Your posts make some sense there.

So if a team underachieves relative to talent level or preseason expectations

then fans don’t have a right to be disappointed?
So we are just supposed to pay our money and shut up and be happy when the coach tells us to be?

And there is the stretch again. I would think most fans were disappointed with last year's results. I know I was. There is a difference between being disappointed and calling players names, calling for coaches jobs and saying things like Dabo and Streeter were the only 2 people on the planet who couldn’t see there were problems with the offense. See the stretch?? It is also a HUGE stretch to say Dabo told anyone to “ pay our money and shut up and be happy”. Thank you for so clearly proving my point about your posts.
As far as whether they underachieved relative to talent level - that is subjective and you have the right to your opinion. Sounds to me like the results have shown your expectations may have been unrealistic.

I'm just wondering if another DW4 or TL16 would be unrealistic to wish for. They are what kept the offense moving under Elliott. With it slowing to a crawl the way that it was in 2021-2022 with DJ has proved that to be a fact. Dabo may not have fired Elliott like was done with Streeter, but I believe if he had stayed, he wouldn't have had much of a choice after a disappointing 2023... Unlike DW4 and TL16, Cade Klubnik will need a little more elite QB coaching than DW4 and TL16 did, and Elliott would've had to look to Streeter for that. Without the right amount of experience in the technical sense, a job that demands that type of experience can chew you up and spit you out without it!!!

It is not unrealistic to wish or even hope for another QB like DW4 or TL16. It would be unrealistic to EXPECT them to come along very often.

Think you are wrong about Cade...he may need less coaching but he does need to spend lots of quality time with the first unit! He took being thrown under the bus against Tenn. like a man! Hard to imagine a freshman doing any better under the same circumstances! If Riley is who we think he is you will see Cade slinging the ball all over the field! We must also remember that it was also an adjustment for the O line and the Wr's to have an all new QB...to Dabos point lets not throw out the baby with the bath water! He said happy and proud not giddy...went to Sams this morning in East Texas and had two people that I don't know and have never seen comment on my sweatshirt and what a great university Clemson is...Will be glad to take those accolades over an extra win...10 years ago nobody in east Texas knew where Clemson was and never watched them on TV...we had 10 nationally televised games in my house last year! Maybe we sometimes under achieve as Fans...Go Tigers!

Before this pissing contest is over, I just want to say this. IPTAY donors along with all others of Tiger nation that purchase Tiger gear pay Dabo the second highest paid salary for his duties as a HC, and they if no one else has the right to #### and moan about some of the decisions that Dabo made at the end of season 2021 when Clemson FB lost Venables and Elliott.
If for no other reason, it's bc Dabo made no attempt to search for their replacements. Without a search, without conversation with the IPTAY donors, he just appoints two coordinators that had absolutely NO D-1 power 5 experience. So, IMO Dabo had no right to scold the fan base mainly bc one of his project hires failed miserably, and no part of him saying how well Streeter done will cut it bc the whole of Tiger nation knows that Streeter was Elliott's QB coach, and the fan base knows that if Elliott hadn't got a HC job, he should have been in the exact boat that Streeter was in this past season bc that is what he was left by Elliott.
Those improvements that Dabo was saying that Streeter made, it was of the mess that years of Elliott as OC made before leaving. I am sure that the majority of Tiger nation along with the IPTAY members would have felt that Elliott should have been on the hot seat during the 2022 season if he hadn't left before the 2022 season. We all seen Elliott struggle in 2021 without DW4 or TL16 that made that mess of Elliott's work as it did, and without both of those two highly elite QBs and their receivers, Dabo would have been in the exact situation with Elliott as he was with Streeter. IMO, Streeter inherited the ugliest end of that mess that was building under OC Tony Elliott!!! OK I said it, our offensive problems started long before Brandon Streeter, and Dabo done him no favors by allowing him the job to fix it without enough OC experience to fix it. Hopefully Garrett has the experience to fix it, he has shown with his way up the OC ladder that he does have the experience to get it fixed....

It was a real downer for SC to beat us and the way it happened. I think that’s a major thing. Dabo somehow needs to amp up our NIL because that’s the way of the world now , like it or not. I do not like Scar getting recruits we want.

I do hope that you're talking about the one that believe that experience is overrated bc, we do have some that do feel that way. Just allow me to say this, I have been a homeowner for most of my life, and I have the tools in my shop to do any job that homeowners has to do or have done.
There has been many times bc of my extended experience in carpentry, I have felt as a homeowner that I probably could fix or do about any repair that needed done, and I have tackle everyone that I knew needed attention. Even though I believed I could handle some things that I'd never done, I recognized quickly after I got into it that I had made a mistake and I should have left well enough alone and hired someone that knows about those things to come in and fix it bc, when I realized that I couldn't fix it bc I didn't have the experience that I badly needed, and I made the problem worse than it was, and it ended up costing me more to have someone to fix it bc, I was too hard headed to admit that I lacked the experience.
I would ask myself before tackling those repairs, how hard could it be. I could answer that question for someone else tackling the very same jobs if asked now, and I would tell them that it would be cheaper to allow someone that has experience fixing those things before screwing it up worse trying it yourself... But I have gotten better at leaving things alone that I really don't have any experience at fixing, and that rule should apply with anything that has to be done, it should be done by someone that has the experience to fix it without having to depend on someone with more experience than they have. IMHP,
that is what I truly believe happen with Streeter, he has FB coaching experience, he just didn't have enough experience to fix something that was broken before he tried to fix it, and bc of his lack of experience, I think he worried about making it even worse, and I don't think he realized that it would have been almost impossible bc he has had some success at OC, but it wasn't with the level of FB that Clemson has to play at to be successful!!!! Streeter was being like I use to be, heck I'm going to try and fix it without realizing the amount of experience it takes to tackle a job like he took on!!!!

Unrealistic expectations kill the joy. We will not win every game every year in any sport but that should not take the fun of games. Our football team was dominated several times over the last 3 years but they have not quit, same with baseball, basketball and soccer. Fans just have to take the bad with the bad because that is the way like works. Being a fan is about support, not just wins.

Look, I agree with everything Dabo said and we as fans have become somewhat spoiled. However, him mentioning fans not traveling to the ACC championship was a little much. The loss to UofSC was a gut punch and honestly sooooo uncalled for. I hate losing but know we can’t win every game but I will never enjoy losing to UofSC. Losing to them at home the way we did sucked all of the mojo out of the fan base in my opinion.

Yes, but there was so much on the line in that game, and they treated it like it was just another out of conference game that didn't have a meaning or an effect on our season.
Our most hate rival record was on the line. Beating our most hated rival in that game would have been a never before 8 straight wins against those nasty smelling coots. Breaking that 7 straight game streak against them that was set in Cootlumbia October 24, 1940, the 7 straight was repeated again on my birthday in Cootlumbia again November 27, 2021.
This past season should have been the season that record was finally broken with 8 straight in the only place it should be broken, and that would have been in Clemson's Death Valley with the stands packed full of what would have been more Tiger fans that's ever celebrated such a special occasion as finally putting the old 7 straight record to bed and moving forward with a new 8 straight win streak over the smelly coots at home with our fans with a new look in our Death Valley. It seemed that feat was never in the minds of our coaches on the side lines in DV.
The there was another record to be broken the same day and game that our old 7 straight streak was to be broken. It was the streak of the most ever straight Death Valley win streak of 41 games.
How could Dabo or any Clemson coach not expect Tiger nation to be fiery mad about them standing there with DJ looking like a deer in headlights with them doing absolutely nothing different with TWO Clemson FB lifetime records on the line with hands down the most talented team on the field with our Backup QB already proving he was the best QB on the team, with also a couple more QBs on the bench that were hands down better than what DJ had been playing throughout the season. But Dabo can't see a reason for Tiger nation to be upset bc he has done the job that he has been paid well to do before that game with lifetime records to be broken, how dare Tiger nation tp frown on that lost on our home field with the most talented team in a game of history to be made and old records to fall, how dare we question anything the coaches didn't do that could have been done that would have should have changed the outcome of that history making game!!!! Tiger Nation how could we act like unappreciative heathens!!! We have no shame I tell ya!!!

It’s all been lost, one of the whiniest fan bases in the country without a doubt. If he doesn’t say anything all we hear us that he doesn’t care, he’s complacent, or the ol nepotism bit. If he does say anything fans immediately turn into coots and start attacking the coach of our football team like rabid animals. Which is exactly why I would ride off into the sunset, man has given everything to Clemson and all he gets is shut up we want more

I think the air was let out of a lot of people’s balloons by the incessant propping up of DJ. He was an obvious failure and the reason we had 2 sub-superior years. The loss to SC was the final straw for a lot of good fans. Hopefully the much needed changes at OC and QB will refill the balloons.

It will, or it should until all of the Venable era guys are gone and it starts to look like Goodwin is chitting himself. We, most T-Netter know that at Clemson, and probably anywhere else that has the like talent that we have, that the elite JRs & SRs that we have do a lot of helping with coaching up the freshman and sophomore players. I've even heard of elite sophomores that sometimes help with coaching up much less talented players. That's one of the luxuries we have with recruiting and bringing high level talent that also had exceptional HS coaches....

Well said and very accurate. But humanity has a glaring failure. Expectations are often placed upon people…by people who put no work in and really have no ‘skin in the game.’ The only energy they expel is giving their opinions which involve no sweat, blood or tears. Opinions are easily expressed by those with ‘no skin in the game.’ Just saying!?

Another rant coming off as thin skinned, preachy and defensive. I wish he would just own and acknowledge a disappointing season then get back to work. There is nothing wrong with fans demanding more of a guy making 10M a year. All those "miserable" fans and writers complaining about our offense may have actually helped bring Garret to Clemson.

I’m gonna lose my joy for the season when Clemson loses its first home game in Death Valley in how many years to the coots. That was all on coaching too. And the main reason fans didn’t go to the ACC Championship, was because we’d been told and lectured to about DJ being deserving of starting and playing in that game. So, we figured how that would go. Thank the Lord Dabo ended up putting in Cade.
Dabo needs to stop lecturing and talking down to fans. We’ve moved on and are excited about what Riley can do for the offense next year. Yet, his pride won’t let him stop from criticizing fans, saying we don’t appreciate him. SMH

It is irritating being lecture by a guy being paid as much as Dabo.
11-3, ACC conference championship, appearance in the Orange Bowl is not a bad season and could have left fans happy.
If two of the losses weren't blowouts. If one wasn't at home to our rival. And if the problems with the offense weren't the same as the problems with the offense in 2021. The team failed the proverbial eye test for two years.
The difference between us and Alabama this season was that while Alabama lost two and missed the playoffs, they still (for the most part) looked like Alabama.
The last two seasons, Clemson has not looked like an elite program. No matter what the record.
I believe Alabama fans have been cranky because of the schedule. Nick gets mad at the students skipping games, but last year they hosted Utah State, Louisiana-Monroe, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Austin Peay, and Auburn. Two winning teams in the bunch, and one was Austin Peay. Season ticket holders must love that.

the 2022 Tiger team would underperform in key games with the routinely inconsistent with DJ at QB. A given. Then there was a season long commentary by many that DJ was reborn and Dabo, a great recruiter and leader not a QB whisperer, had fixed DJ. And yes, the classy DJ was improved. But the season outcome (not the SCU game) was inevitable without a QB to elevate the team as occurred in the ACCCG ... And it was DJ, who stirred the drink and set the tone on the field in 2022.
2023 brings new air and opportunity thanks to Dabo, Garrett Riley and CK2. Go Tigers!

based on high expectations.. hes not paid to just win acc titles anymore it is what it is.. this whole just because we were average in 2012 means we cant expect at least a playoff appearance every year as an expectation is asinine.. the better your facilities the better you recruit the more titles you win the expectations go up along with that stuff.

Thin-skinned Dabo ONCE AGAIN recites (only) his successes...

but not his failures. He did the same thing after the ACCCG and has done so many, many times. It gets old and it comes off as thin-skinned and braggadocios.
It's interesting that he always says that he blocks out the noise and doesn't listen to fans' criticisms, but apparently he listens to fans' criticisms.
It's also interesting that (when he is asked about his bad decisions like when he was asked after the ACCCG if he made a mistake by not starting Cade sooner) Dabo bristled and said that he doesn't spend any time looking in the rear-view mirror. But then minutes after that post ACCCG question he recited a long list of his historical accomplishments (as he has done many times), making it obvious that he spends a lot of time looking in the rear-view mirror.
I love what Dabo has accomplished, but he's not infallible, so I think he should let the criticisms (especially the valid ones like promoting Streeter, starting DJ, gifting nepotism-scholarship, etc.) roll off his back, rather than lecturing fans. It's unbecoming.

I was right about on-the-job training. Remember 6-7, etc?

Remember Dabo's early years when he made tons of newbie mistakes, went 6-7, took a record-setting beat-down in Death Valley, a record-setting loss in the Orange Bowl, etc?
I said that I wanted a great coach who could hit the ground running. Dabo didn't do that. He learned from his mistakes and became a good coach, but it was a gad gamble. I'm very happy that it worked out. In hindsight, it was probably worth suffering the on-the-job training years. But we'll never know the alternate history of what would have happened if they had hired a great, seasoned coach instead. Maybe we'd have more championships. Who knows?
Anyway, thanks for changing the subject and going ad hominem instead of addressing the content of my post. Brilliant.

Having lived through some of the lean years while at Clemson (‘70-‘76), I fully appreciate the need to keep perspective. ‘75 we lost to Alabama 56-0. The following year we lost to Georgia 41-0. So keep it real folks - we have an excellent program and are competitive week in and week out. Be happy - and grateful. Thank you coach - you run a program we can all be proud of.

If it bugs you too much stay the hel* off the website...there are some good points here...dj was a horrible mistake and he was not `entitled` to be a starting QB...21 poorest QB numbers in ACC and almost last in the nation...Dabo had to see that, no excuses, not Streeters fault...nobody could fix that! Nothing more valuable to a team than a great QB...Dabo knows it! We are spoiled!

If you want us to be joyful, don't lose to South Carolina EVER- especially in a game where you could have won easily with a few better decisions.

Some fans on the radio are saying the SID did not announce when the return was going to be in 2022. Don't know if true or not, but I don't remember seeing anyone raising flags and balloons for fans to know..

I have an idea. Why don't we all get together here and decide exactly our expections for next year should be so none of us will be disappointed or complain if those expectations are met How low should those expectations be so that no fans are disappointed.

In many ways, no one showing up to celebrate our 7th ACC championship in 8 years makes sense, but I hope we do not get stupid. A friend (a 'Bama fan) asked me if Dabo was going to keep his job after the 2021 season. I answered that we are not 'Bama and do not have a 100 national championships; those of us who have been around know that these are the good ol' days. Sorry, Dabo, you have created a monster and massive celebrations for winning the ACC are a thing of the past, but I hope that Dabo will be our head coach until he is sick of coaching and wants to go into broadcasting.

Some fans just will never be happy. We’ve lost some bite over the past few years being elite but I remember the results from the past few coaches. I’m still grateful for the wins we get

The problem with having great teams is that fans get to know what a great team looks like. When we had Chad Morris, we saw great offenses with beautiful passing—- often scoring 21 points in the first quarter. In the 2016 title game, Alabama left about 2:00 on the clock, and I knew we could win—- if Jalen Hurts had stopped at the 3-yard line, Alabama would have won. Brent Venables gave us defenses that ranked in the top 3– great sack plays and swarming tackles for loss. Isaiah Simmons all over the field. Trevor Lawrence rarely played more than 3 quarters—- putting the game away early allowed us to play many players in many games so that the third and fourth string players got experience for the next season. We used to be WRU—- we developed our receivers—- they knew where the first down marker was. They got open so Deshawn or Trevor could hit them. Yes, Dabo is a great CEO like Sabin, Wooden, Coach K—- but Dabo has taught us what a great offense and a great defense looks like, and the last two years haven’t measured up. Remember, Dabo, Best is the standard. But I have great hope with Coach Riley taking over the offense.

So, IMO, I lost my joy and religion after watching the 2021 season go to #### and then watching the same mistake being repeated AGAIN in the 2022 season. We are spoiled fans and when you get used to being the best, 2nd best isn't going to cut it. Yes, we won the ACC and had a good win record, but we as fans think what could have been with some different decisions by DABO and BStreeter on QB play. We could have been one more better in the win column and at the least made it to the CFP. It appears NIKI and the Secretaries finally convinced DABO to make a change!! lol I'm looking for my joy to come back in the very near future!! GO TIGERS

Dabo is whining again. Whatever happened to the " WHIND SHIELD MENTALITY " seems he is always looking back to what was and comparing it to what is. "BEST IS THE STANDARD " You set the expectation, and fans have a right to hold you to it, so stop your whining and get back to meeting those expectations.
