Clemson fans mourn loss of alumnus/athlete Lee Potts

Sadly, do not recall meeting "Lee." I know his parents through the Palmetto Star Camper club...

Obituary for Stephen Lee Potts
Dateline – Clinton, SC
Stephen Lee Potts, age 45, of Newberry, SC, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2016, following a brief illness.
He was the son of Jim and Susan Potts of Clinton, and his mother, the late Elaine Polk Potts.
Lee was a graduate of Thornwell Schools and Clemson University, where he majored in Forestry and Wildlife Management. He was a devoted Clemson Tiger fan and loved the outdoors, where he spent as much time as possible enjoying nature.
In addition to his parents, Lee is also survived by his very best friend, Denise Polifrone and a brother, Jay (Tara) of Conyers, Ga.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 3:30 PM at Westminister Presbyterian Church of Clinton.
The family will receive friends the evening before, Friday, April 8th from 6 to 8 PM at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stephen Lee Potts Scholarship Fund, C/O Clemson University Foundation, PO Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633.

I went to Thornwell with Lee. He graduated in 89 with my best buddy. My Buddy and I were able to go up to Newberry literally 2 weeks ago to have dinner with him and a couple of buddies that went to Thornwell and Clinton High. Lee was good people!!!

I can well imagine as much. His parents are amazing people who look after those in need. Wonderful Christians! Salt of the earth.
