Clemson Family, I'm still hurting from Monday

We were SO close!! Everything came together just to come undone in the very end. I love my Clemson like family. Maybe even more than some family. I'm sure all of you can relate to that lol. I never thought we'd get here again especially this year. We lost 8 starters on D last year but our 2nd string played so many snaps that it wasn't that big of a loss to start over for this year. Last year was graduation. This year they're just leaving early which happens with good teams. Will we get back? What do yall think?
I love you all Clemson Family! Go Tigers!!

I agree at least on one thing. I got several family members I love less than the Tigers. Having said that, I would offer a different perception.
We "weren't" supposed to go so far this year. Rebuilt O and D lines, sophomore QB, questions at RB and TE...etc, etc. However, even I didn't realize the strength of the program would push the team to the heights we experienced this year.
Yes, no question I would have loved to win the Natty. But I gotta say this is the best loss I've ever seen. We pushed Alabama all over the field. Our team out played Alabama, virtually every sports writer and coach agrees. It was only for a couple of busted plays that we didn't pull out the win. It's football and that happens (See Mich. vs Mich. St.).
I have never seen in my many years of following football the loser of a Natty be talked about as effusively as our Tigers. Over and over I've heard how great our team and program are. We took Alabama, the SEC God, to the wire and controlled the game the whole time, offense and defense....and finally enlightened the eyes and minds of long time doubters.
We may have lost the game, but we won the war....and no one will every see Clemson again as anything other than an Elite program. And I promise you, Auburn is already game-planning for us next year in the opener.
You and I can feel very good about that.
Tampa-2017
Go Tigers!

Exactly. Time to move on to basketball if you are a Clemson fan. If you are only a Clemson football fan you'll just have to wait til Spring

I've literally been sick to my stomach over the game, but if you think about it, we lost to possibly the greatest coach of all time, in a nail biter game that came down to an onside kick. We proved EVERYBODY wrong, this season dispelled the word "clemsoning" and gave it new meaning. We lost, but we lost in the best way possible if you think about it. If you need to feel better listen to the players statements, especially deshauns. The kid is so hungry for success, I am not worried about anything because he wants to win more than he wants to breath.

It took me a day....

But when I started reading the articles and post from the players the next day, I finally went to the bathroom and cried my eyes out for a few minutes. My heart was so heavy for all the players. It was evident they emptied the tank on that field. Just a few plays cost the game, but their will was never more evident. The nations knows we now longer take a back seat to anyone.
It's been said before, but I think we garnered more respect in that one lose than the last 3-4 seasons combined.

unless you're 12 get over it. It's a football game. Plenty of other things to worry about and occupy your time than letting 20 year olds playing a game dictate how you feel about life.
Enjoy the basketball run and go watch a game or two. They're playing pretty good.
