Does the Clemson Corps support Marines and Sailors on campus with scholarships?

I think it's only support to ROTC, thus AF and Army. Suggest you go to their website and contact them.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

I wonder why***

You probably know more about this than I do, but I have.....

never heard of universities supporting service members with scholarships. The individual services do. I know for Marines, those who have entered the PLC (Platoon Leaders Class) get some help or maybe just paid. Between their sop. and junior years and between their junior and senior years they go to Quantico for six weeks for OSC training. They are commissioned when they graduate and go on to Basic School. I know they are compensated in some way during this period. I ma guessing that there Navy, Army, and Air Force have similar programs......or just the old ROTC programs.

I believe the Clemson Student Veterans Association has an endowment for veteran scholarships. I would also contact the Clemson Veteran Resource Center and see if they have any information they can give you. http://www.clemson.edu/studentaffairs/nsfp/veterans/index.html

The Clemson Corps scholarship requires you to take ROTC (Army or Airforce). It's a way to get more people interested in a career in the military. It's the sole reason I was able to attend clemson during my Undergrad. There are other scholarships for prior service if you look into the Clemson Student Veterans Association.

So what about the Navy/USMC guys that are commissioning?

Apr 16, 2016, 6:17 PM

I wonder how many Navy/USMC guys give to Clemson Corps?

Actually, I wonder how many know about it...I didn't!

Different areas of a university are alway competing against each other for money. Quite often, a university will not want a certain segment to ask for money because they think it takes their donors away.....crappy but true. I know when I was doing some things for Furman, we needed to raise about $1,000,000 dollars for the project but the administration would not let the department contact any of their donors!
