Best team you've seen this year so far?

I haven't watched everyone, but Oregon looks fast and nasty. Interesting to see their D shut down Colorado, whereas USC didn't

At the moment it might be Texas

Everyone has some issues this year though I think.

Agree. Texas looks strong. I don't trust west coast teams to be as good as their stats say. They don't play much defense out there.

Agreed, Tejas looks the part as well.***

Washington has a really good QB

I don't know if they are the best but definitely top 3.

I too like Oregon. Lanning knows defense.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oregon looks strong from what I've seen, but I wouldn't...

put too much stock in USC's defense as Riley hasn't exactly been that side of the ball minded in recent years.

Ttl Defense

2021 OK 76th
2022 USC 106th
2023 USC 104th

Oregon's defense is nice, Top 10, after being 71st in 2022 and 2021.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

USC might be the 3rd best team in the pac 12.

2

Oct 1, 2023, 12:06 PM

Their defense is just such a liability.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed - Oregon is solid all the way around.***

Michigan is a tough out and looks good. Texas looks good. And yes the Ducks look solid too.

Dogs have not looked great.

USC has some defensive issues.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Michigan.

1

Oct 1, 2023, 12:10 PM

Most well rounded team. Texas 2nd. But I trust Michigan more because of their run game and run defense.

1. Michigan 2. Texas 3. Washington 4. FSU 5. Ohio State

I don't think there will be any undefeated teams in the playoff this, maybe michigan. although Oregon looks pretty decent right now there only win of note is against colorado when Utah gets there QB cam rising back they will be a threat to USC Oregon and Washington, i doubt any team in the PAC ends up without a loss but i do think they get a spot in the playoff.

SEC champion will have a loss and prob ACC champion. dont be surprised if Texas loses this weekend.

FSU is not a top 5 team.

Mediocre quarterback.

Mediocre defense.

I get where they are ranked right now, they should be ranked there with their record, but they are not an elite team.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Would have loved to see UGA lose that game yesterday!!

1

Oct 1, 2023, 12:17 PM

I don't think they are the best, but their schedule is so soft, I really don't see a loss on it!!

UGA. Young QB, but the rest of the team is future NFL. He is developing exponentially fast. He will be ready by playoff.

Washington.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Still way too early for me, but...

2

Oct 1, 2023, 12:36 PM

... right now I would say the following teams have a chance to become "the best team."

Texas, Michigan, Oregon, Washington - and, surprise to me so far this year - don't forget Oklahoma.

I'm hoping I can find a tailgate party that will have the Red River Shootout playing on a big screen and won't mind me watching it with them next Saturday.

CLEMSON

7

Oct 1, 2023, 12:38 PM

Without the self inflicted mistakes, Clemson would have pummeled Duke and FSU. A Duke team that gave ND all they could handle last night. An FSU team that has a massive amount of transfers on their roster and NIL galore. I just don’t think anyone can beat Clemson once they begin to gel and start to peak.

Chesty, I agree! Was thinking during the Syracuse game that Clemson will be the team NO ONE wants to play near the end of the season! I think next season will be CRAZY good!

Best teams right now: Texas, Oregon, Michigan, OSU.....I do not put FSU in there. I believe they will lose to Miami....

Go Tigers!!!
