I spent my entire weekend driving from Virginia to to Clemson (and $$$) to see a game determined by a referee. (Yes our offense looked terrible on week one but that final drive could have been won with a short field goal 13-10. Why they can review everything but penalties is beyond me. That pass interference call on a dropped pass on 3rd and long was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

I have a different take on the LSU "TD." The original ruling was a catch at about the 1 yard line. LSU scrambled back to the line to get off a play before the "catch" could be reviewed. I think the receiver knew he bobbled the ball when he hit the ground.

Nah, he had completed the catch, had control through the end zone. One of the worst calls I've seen. Had it been us that had a TD overturned, it might have taken an hour to clear the field of water bottles... and probably rightfully so. Bizarre.

But you have to control it to the ground. A little surprised that it was overturned since it was called a catch on the field, but the ball did move when he went to the ground.
I have to wonder if it would have been called a TD would it have stood. The way that it was they would have had to overturn the spot but ignore whether it was a catch. I think the bad spot might have moved the opinion of what was clear and obvious on the catch.

I don't like the rule at all because players have control when they go out of bounds and I wish the plays are called over at that point but that's not the case. That was a good call - no TD. The pass interference call was awful considering LSU was all over our WRs on many plays with no calls.

I dunno why that's so hard for people in both fan bases to comprehend...It's literally in the rule book...There was no bail out...dude didn't control the ball all the way through...
And for the PIs....Hampton was getting beat like a running mule...There is a reason he wasn't on the field the last 2 or 3 series for LSU...

Last time we played LSU (loss in the NCG) the PAC-12 officials never called PI or holding on LSU, but did make those calls many times on our Tigers.
Last night was similar, with clear holding calls not made on LSU's OL and with our WRs constantly being knocked around by their DBs with no calls against LSU.
That being said, the LSU TD that was called back offset the geneal reffing concept of no penalties on LSU, partially.
Some PI calls on LSU, such that they had to play with less hands on our WRs would hv made for more CU completions, first downs, and continuing drives (and reset for our defense).

The refs were fine. You cannot tug on the jersey of WR, and he did it the whole time. The sad thing is it unlikely mattered. But we got to stop that habit, or get called a lot for PI.

When they showed the replay, you can clearly see Clemson player pulling the lsu wr jersey to slow him down.

That was probably the easiest call of the whole game. Hamilton never let go. He was beat on the cut and even grabbing the jersey really never recovered.

Shouldn't the call have been holding instead? From where I was sitting and from the replays on the screen, the angles didn't show that view.

True.
BUT, LSU DBs and WRs were pushing our WRs and DBs with no calls on LSU. That, and holding (without calls) of our pass rushers contributed to LSU's win.
I agree the called-back LSU TD was a terrible call. But that still didn't make up for the lack of panties on LSU.

Wrong dude he was holding the entire play .the refs robbed LSU on the touchdown not us. This game was a blowout in every way the final score is misleading.

If anything the Refs helped keep us in the game. This loss wasnt on the Refs. The Refs didnt cause our Oline to play like garbage, our vaunted line to produce no qb pressure, or a complete disregard for a proper gameplan.
