CJ Stroud is proving why he should have been number one

When the Panthers went with Young, I couldn't believe it. They went with the short injury prone guy over what was obvious to everyone a ready-made NFL quarterback. This pic by the Panthers may end up being something similar to Portland passing up Jordan. Now not to that level I wouldn't think LOL! But they definitely went with the wrong qb. And gave away everything to get that pic only to not pick the right guy. They've set themselves back so far. I just wish temper would sell the team to somebody that's going to fill the front office with good football people and let them do their thing. Carolina Panthers are a freaking dumpster fire. Every ball game CJ Stroud wins is another piece of evidence showing the Panthers football people's ineptitude. SMH.

And for all those Walt Deptula haters...I can well remember when he went against a lot of sports pundits and so-called experts, saying CJ was the best QB in the draft!

Yeah, I thought it was clear cut too. CJ checks all the boxes in what you want in an NFL QB. Young didn't. He was touted fornhis intangibles. Intangibles only go so far at the pro level. Nfl scouts get it wrong so often its crazy. But hindsight i guess is 20/20

If nothing else, his play should finally convince the NFL to throw that stupid

Wonderlic test out the window. He had just about a historically low score on that, but it appears he can sure play the footsball in the NFL anyway.

It was the S2 cognition test that he scored poorly on. The NFL doesn't use the Wonderlic anymore.

Personally I thought it was pretty obvious CJ was better than Young. Look at their common opponent the year they were drafted - Georgia. Young had a terrible game in the SEC Championship while CJ almost led OSU to a win over Georgia. He was playing lights out against the best defense in college football that year.

Carolina is going to be Minnesota of the early 1990s - gave everything away for 1 player that isn't that good and will suffer for years to come.

Exactly, if not for Marvin Harrison Jr getting hurt in that game, UGA would have only 1 championship in recent years.

Carolina Panthers are getting everything they deserve after passing on so much Clemson talent in the draft through the years. Perennial losers. They even prefer loser Coots over proven winners on the field.

when the Texans beat the Colts the final game of the 22/23 season to lose the #1 pick and fall to #2.

CJ is unreal. He has transformed the franchise and the fan base here. Demeco also gets a lot of the credit. The players really love playing for him and leave it all on the field. Plus, while there is some talent on defense, there are some huge holes and he's squeezed the best out of the unit.

Great time to be a Houston Texans fan right now. The Browns game was the best NFL environment I've ever been a part of. Shutting up and mocking the barking, obnoxious Browns fans was priceless. The TD right before halftime shut them up for good.

I hate to say this, but CJ might have a better career in the pros than Deshaun.
