on Ben’s site or on Rumble for 12/5/23. Couldn’t believe this subject rankled those two guys to comment!

Jake knows a lot about college football and states it was a travesty especially since Noles were undefeated and only conference P5 championship team not accepted while Bama was a one-loss team..

plus FSU did all that was asked of them, play 13 games and don’t lose..#1 QB or not.

Also, said it involved politics & $.

Conveniently, the Committee had prepared for exactly this situation by not dropping Bama from #8 when they needed an absolute miracle to avoid losing to a team that got blasted by New Mexico State just the week before. They knew that their goal to have an SEC team in, no matter what, might require jumping a team from #8 to Top 4.

If Bama had two losses and beat Georgia, they would have only dropped Georgia to #4, stating that no #1 team had ever dropped completely out of the Top 4 in the final week. They had all their bases covered, they just needed to see what happened to chose which lie to use to “justify” the pre-determined outcome: the SEC must always be in.
