So imagine my delight when I found out yesterday that we were in the World Series. I really hope we win this thing, it's been a long time coming.

I saw JR pitch Single-A after his stroke(s) when he was rehabbing in minors trying to make a comeback. Pretty inspirational even for a young kid.

I remember watching him as a kid. Big, tall guy. Looked him up to see some of his stats. Didn't realize he had passed 4 Aug 21. In 1980 the Astros had him and Nolan as starters. He was NL starting pitcher in the All Star game. Six days later he pitched his last major league game against the Braves. Leaving in the 4th inning with numbness and tingling in his right arm. July 30 he had a stroke on the field during warm-ups.
