of Clemson" is Deandre "NUK" Hopkins. That is not really a huge surprise, he has clearly been the most successful in the NFL to date. And, he was great in college, so no surprise his skills translated to the NFL.
So, what former Clemson players, from any position, have had the most SURPRISING success in the NFL, based on their college careers? For me, two immediately spring to mind.
First, Jaron Brown had a long, steady, if unspectacular career in the NFL. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2013, made the team, and played for them for seven years, then finished with two more years in Seattle for the Seahawks. Not bad at all for a UDFA.
Second is Tyler Shatley. He, too was signed as a UDFA, by the Jaguars in 2014. He not only made the team, but eventually became a starter on the offensive line, and just signed another contract extension for the 2024 season. He continues to play well, and will be a key to whatever success Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and the Jacksonville Jaguars have this upcoming season.

Deshawn Williams. Play DT until 2014 I believe. May not have the best career and in and out of practice squads but he’s still on a roster today

When you talk about success that translated to the NFL. Brian Dawkins name comes to mind immediately. Sure, he was successful while at Clemson but he was at another level in the NFL. Not just for a year or two but every year, for a long time.

Decent player for us, but he's overachieved in the NFL for sure. So far he's made $56,799,664 in his career. Not bad at all for a 5th-rounder.

Humphries is a good one. He was a 2-star coming out of high school and didn't get even drafted.

Everyone thinks he was a star at Clemson when in reality he didn't do much at all. Made a few key plays in games that come to mind but had no stats to talk of at all. He was only drafted because someone saw potential.

Wouldn't make our list of top 25 receivers, but won two rings, and was all pro and NFL receptions leader in 1982. Had a great career.

Dwight had "The catch" so everything he did or didn't do in college is forgotten.

His father died, and then DJ failed a drug test. He took some time off to get counseling and missed a few games before returning to the team.
