Bummer - the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Tournament

is not played at Augusta National….except for the 3rd and final round on Saturday. The first 2 rounds are at Champions Retreat near Augusta. It has been that way for several years. Here I was all queued up to watch the first round replay at “The Masters” on Golf Channel and it is not there. Guess I will watch on Saturday as a warm up for the final 4 and then watch the Masters next week.
BTW - Jim Nance has the best job in sports…he calls the final 4, the final, and then goes to Augusta to call The Masters. What a gig!!

They hosted a high school state tournament I attended as a coach in 2014 and that is an amazing piece of property. They have 3 courses there. We were able to play 2 of the courses during our practice rounds. Rumor was that a group of folks that could not get memberships at Augusta National decided to build themselves a top notch club. If true, they achieved the goal.
