Is Clowney the best player in the country? It sure seemed

like it Saturday. If I was an NFL GM after next year, I'd take him over anyone else in the country if I had had an adequate QB, which is the most important position in the NFL, by far.
I wish our D had given our offense a few more chances Saturday, but when we did have the ball with the game on the line in the 2nd half, Clowney dominated and was clearly the best player on the field.

A team just needs to know how to play him, like LSU and FL and to a degree, TN. He was basically a non factor in those games, exception when UT let their guard down in the last minutes. Otherwise, a win for UT. Clowney is more a product of the hype. Plus as another poster said, he's dumb as a bucket of rocks.

What has he done that proves he is so dumb? Thats just your butthurt coming out.
As for his play, he is easily one of the best players in the country and will be the #1 overall pick next year.

He doesnt lead the SEC so no hes not the best in the country. In the NFL he will just take up running space but will get chewed up by veteran OL and FBs and will be no pass rusher.

Clowney was the reason the Gamecocks won that game. If he'd picked Clemson instead of him I think Clemson is 12-0 right now. He makes that much of a difference.
