get into the conference, look like meat beaters. Most seasons we start non conference undefeated and folks get excited. I will believe it when I see it.

We will have a ranked conference opponent come into LJ, we'll get way up early, hang on and lose by 1-4pts; then we'll get way down on another, make a wild comeback and run out of steam before losing by 1-4. We'll have long stretches of no baskets, lose games because we can't make free throws. If we make it to the dance, we lose to ball-gooch state community college women's developmental squad in the first round, or in the play in.

I've been watching this since the 70's. This is how it is.

I hope that I am totally wrong for this season.

Yeah, he'd have been wrong about last year, since we blew several Quad 3 and Quad 4 games early in the season. Then entered the ACC like gang busters! But the subsequent choke to stay out of the NCAA was monumental, exceeded only by the epic choke in the NIT to Morehead State.

Yep. Last year sure wasn't like any of the other years!

And, to be fair, this year started a lot differently than most other years. Actually did well in the non-conference schedule AND the non-conference schedule was not a steady stream of Charleston Southern, Elon, and Sienna (which, a lot of years, the non-conference schedule was packed with *really* bad teams).

Anyhow, here's to hoping the Tigers run the table to end the season.
