what I like is all that detail of how well thought out, to the smallest detail, it is, and how intricate and thorough their marketing plan is, and how the whole thing is just over the top compared to any competitor. So who does this influence? The wallet guy. Um, the wallet guy's wife. Lil kids would be equally blown away at the county fair.

As an aside, middle daughter and us have had a prickly relationship since her hormones kicked in preteen. This is the one I took her door off the hinges when she refused to stop slamming it back in the day. The same one who said she'd just pay for her Roanoke College costs by herself, till she found out the number (after a dispute).Years later, after we paid for her wedding, she's the boss of her world, which for no apparent reason often doesn't include us or making sure we see grandkids.

So Grandparent dream plan of floating a Disney trip are gone. Sorry, we're not just a wallet.

Funny thing is, the only time we were there was for her High School Cheerleading competition event (another Disney marketing ace). Which of course involved considerable expense long forgotten by her.

Hey, those mouse ears and Mickey T-shirts are priceless.

That is a sad tale.

hope things work out eventually, you deserve it.

We have plans for D World at some point, but grandkids gotta grow up some. 3 year old, 1 year old and another on the way next month.

Thinking Dollyworld might be a good starting point anyway, cheaper and fun. And closer.

Dollywood is a pretty good park for a day trip.***

Stopped at the Buc-ee's in Daytona yesterday on the way

home from our cruise. We'd never been to a Buc-ee's until yesterday and it sure was something to see. Bathrooms are way better than your average pit-stop on the highway... Never would have thought a gas station/truck stop could be turned into a total shopping experience.

All snuggled in at the Cozy Cone.***
