What is their answer to why they won't just pass the clean CR and get on with business without holding American citizens hostage?

Then shouldn't they pass the CR and put PUBS to the test publicly for everyone to see if they do or don't?

If Pubs failed to take up negotiations it would be a decisive victory for DEMS politically.

They made them temporary in 2021. They made them temporary again through a vote in 2022.

Seems like it’s the Democrats are in a state of high anxiety because of how the Democrats managed the ACA / COVID add-on legislation in the first place.

If the Republicans were also in a state of high anxiety because of their previous legislative approach, then there might be another story.

Alas, there’s not.

The entire story is about the Democrats shutting down the government because the Democrats embedded the kill-switch in the ACA / COVID add ons.

It’s your serve.

On this particular one, I.e., the one that is relevant to the govt shutdown at the hands of the Senate Democrats, the only ‘demands’ that matter are those from the Democrats.

Because that's exactly what you're doing

Oct 25, 2025, 9:56 AM

Yes — this one is much closer to a pure semantics argument.

Let’s break it down carefully:
1. The Statement
“You think Trump pays their benefits. That mindset is the problem.”

2. Core Mechanism

This statement is not really contesting facts about who actually funds benefits.
I
nstead, it’s:

Challenging the phrasing — “Trump pays their benefits” — as misleading or conceptually wrong.
Implying that the way the other person is talking about the issue reveals a flawed understanding of how government programs work.

3. Why It’s Semantic

The speaker is focusing on the language used (“Trump pays”) rather than directly debating policy substance.

It’s correcting a framing — suggesting that no president personally “pays” these benefits; it’s a government program funded by taxpayers and authorized by law.

The key move is: “That mindset [i.e., the way you conceptualize who pays] is the problem.”
This makes the meaning of the phrase “Trump pays” central to the dispute.

4. No Empirical Claim

Unlike the previous example, this statement does not make a prediction about behavior or outcomes.

It’s purely about the conceptual accuracy of language.

✅ Conclusion

This is essentially a semantics argument — the disagreement is over how the issue is phrased or framed (“Trump pays”) and what that phrasing implies.

Type of argument: semantic / framing dispute.

So you actually believe the money comes from Trump.

The difference in ideology is that you believe so strongly that the money comes from the government, that you said it came from Trump. The money comes from the people.

They want an additional $1.5 trillion, supposedly for healthcare for the poor.

Yet, at the same time, there holding the gov't and citizens hostage and denying there constituents critical nutritional assistance. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

Malnourishment is a healthcare issue and they're whistling in the park while poor Americans and illegal migrants are starving.

They're literally making the situation they've decided to use to fleece taxpayers worse with this shutdown.

Dems use poor people, they don't really care for them though.
