Why does everyone keep saying the defense looked great...they didnt. They weren't terrible but great or elite doesn't describe them either. We run filled terribly at the worst times. Got next to no pressure on the QB all night. Gave up 3 PIs (like it or not they were the right call). The defense did enough to win, but they weren't great. Brian Kelly made some bonded decisions and we were lucky in the first half. In the second half their offense adjusted.

I sure hope that we don't see what we saw last night the rest of the season. Even in our championship years we got better as the year went on, so we will definitely improve on last night. The question is to what extent. I suspect into something slightly better than last year, which isn't bad, but is not where we want to be. We have to improve drastically if we want to be a championship contender.

That LSU offense is loaded with weapons and the best QB in the nation. Our defense is pretty darn good. Our offense lacked imagination and poorly coached. Offensive line a huge disappointment.
