And the ROTC needs to volunteer to stand watch 24-7 . Never leave the Rock alone again . And in closing . I could care less about the post season - time to play dirty ....hang 63 on 'em and clear the benches.

Not sure if facetious, but this kind of thing wouldn't be TOO hard to implement I wouldn't think. Especially given the value of the rock.
Also, think about how cool it would be to have the players gather at the top of the hill...and then have the rock raise out of the ground BEFORE everyone touches.
More security and a cooler element added to the pregame. Can't lose.

So, we just let the rock sit above ground and do nothing. Sitting on our arses and not changing anything seems like the perfect solution.
Obviously, security is hard.
Not sure it's more embarrassing to have smoke coming from your pregame entrance...or not having the sense to guard your athletic program's most prestigious relic.
