Since all years are equal, how do you think coach k would have fared in the ACC starting andre young, tanner smith, bryan narcisse, milton jennings, and devin booker?
Keep in mind, he had 8 players on his roster that year that played in the nba. He didn't win the regular season or tourney.

Trashing players is like catnip for the Brownell Bros. I’ve never understood this disconnect in your presentation. You’re the real fans that understand better than all of us what Clemson basketball is all about. You’re the better fans. The rest of us are garbage. And Milton Jennings is a bag of crap we should all #### on. The players on the roster from 2010-12 exist in a vacuum. Uncoachable. Teleported to Clemson from some negative zone of basketball retards and there was simply nothing any coach could have possibly done with them. But the coach was also beholden to keep them around, start them, not replace them through recruiting or transfers so that some unhinged TNet accounts could forever cast aspersions at them. Of course, this coach (who has no responsibility for their lack of development) has lost to the 109, 101, 127, 124, 234, 269, 165, and 315 ranked NET teams during the peak of his tenure. If his best teams lose games like these what hope did such a group of absolute trash monsters?

Not trying to defend BB, because he is an average coach at best, but Dabo has padded his wins for years against a cupcake ACC schedule and nobody seems to mind.
Brad got to do the same this year and people are saying “Yeah, but his schedule was easy.”

Higher percentage of the football playoffs were made of ACC teams than basketball. It was a down year for the league in basketball.

He is an excellent coach. He just sucks at one thing. Getting his teams to play with confidence/swagger/heart when it really matters. And it’s painful. Fix that and we would be in the sweet 16. No fire and it shows.

He made the Elite 8 last season. How is that failing when it matters?
I posted this last season that there were only like 26 coaches who have gone to a Sweet Sixteen and an Elite 8 last season. Then he follows that up with another NCAAT and most wins in the regular season..
People are right Tignet is only about 10 percent of the fanbase opinions.
If the basketball program was that bad how come season ticket holder attendance and overall attendance in Littlejohn is going up each season especially the last three seasons?

It’s not unreasonable for people to ask whether the Elite 8 run (after an embarrassing ACCT) was a sign of things to come or the anomaly.
How many post seasons would personally need to see before reasonably assuming it’s one vs the other

So if you were the AD what would you do? and what would you do from the Negative PR that would hit after your decision?
Clemson, who has bad history in basketball, firing a coach who has just sent a coach to an Elite 8 last season, and followed that up with another NCAAT while having the most wins in the regular season in it's history? You think a 5 seed has never ever lost to a 12 seed before? You don't know NCAAT Basketball history if that is the case.
No other school is firing a coach who went to an Elite 8 last season, and followed that up with another NCAAT this season.
There is a reason why you are not the AD. I will say I am not totally satisfied but also realize you are stupid letting a coach go and just adding one year to his current contract. Again, Im sure the buyout is still going to be peanuts as it was last summer.
Coach is probably retiring in the next few years. Just let it play out and see what happens in the next couple of years.

What backlash would there be from parting ways with a coach after 15 season? Neff has ###### up big time announcing extensions for Brownell before the end of the season. I don’t expect them to fire him but he absolutely should not be offered any extension or raises. It’s fine if we want to lumber along as “good enough” but we need to be able to get out if things rock bottom. I predicted this season would be bad but keeping Chase and exceptional use of the portal kept him afloat. If JZ can’t return, and I can find no indication that the NCAA is likely to make a call that will effect 25-26, then he’ll be replacing the most percent of talent since his losing season.

Many of you seem to think saying he sucks is taking it too far.
I get that, and I respect that.
But when you get all the way to the big stage, and then allow your team to not even show up… Then you suck.
I don’t know the Xs and Os of basketball.
But I honestly think I could have done a better job of getting a team to try hard. And I would’ve done it for way less than 3 Million.
