I can agree agree with this. Get rid of the gimmicky stuff but we had a couple plays last week that I wouldn't consider gimmicky but more innovative for our offense I would like to see continue. Like the direct snap to Mafah for the TD and sending Shipley down the field for the long pass .
All that reverse pass type stuff can go

In general, but I'm against our gadget plays. It doesn't seem like we've designed any good ones in years.

It takes a lot of practice to make gadget plays work the way they are supposed to work, and they are mostly only good for that one time if it works, and personally with the limited time for practice in college FB, gadget plays aren't worth the time that they take to make them work!!!

I just know that I am, and I have always been a gadget play hater. Do what you do best, and if they stop that, practice to be even better at what you do best bc if you're better than the defense that's trying to stop it, you will win way more than you will ever lose!!!

then no. If we insist on being one-dimensional, the run will get shut down. We don't have the OL to go out and just impose an unstoppable run game on anybody. We have to pass to open up the run, and not just pass - complete passes to the MIDDLE OF THE FIELD. This screen crap to the weak side goes nowhere, and gets us in third-and-long situations that we just aren't built for with our limitations at WR, OL and QB.
