It isn't nor has it been Cade's talent that has me worried, it's our next starting QB that has me worried. At least with Cade coming back for another season it gives Dabo and Riley more time to look for and bring in another really talented QB hopefully with the talent like that of DW4, Trevor or Cade. If that doesn't happen our chances for competing for championships, I believe is over until we're in the SEC or the Big and my hopes are for the SEC where I truly believe we can recruit as well as any of the other SEC teams especially with the improvements of Dabo's recent coaching hires. With the recent coaching hires and with maybe one more hire as good, we will have as good of a coaching staff as any team in the country...

Oh butterfly, please stop and think how we could compete in the Big10 or the SEC if you think it takes a once in a generation type QB to compete in the ACC. Your job would not be safe if you worked for the government with flawed thinking like that.

He'll need to be a third round or higher NFL draft pick to improve on that. His draft status for this year would have benn 3rd to 5th round which is why he came back to college.
Hope these type players manage their money wisely. When you're young, you think you're invincible and will live forever and have plenty of time to save up. Life is humbling.

Better to start life with a good bank account than not.
Even if squandered, one learns from that.

Agree Tug. Cade will be fine, whether he plays on Sundays or not. He soldiered through several seasons when the supporting cast was not stellar and still put up some gaudy numbers. Hopefully his last season with us will be his best and we achieve some serious season and playoff success.

Most kids don't come from families like Cade's if we're being honest. The dude is not coming from a single-family home that struggled. His family is well off and I'd imagine his family is in his ear with how to manage this income coming in.
That said, he's certainly benefitted and earned his keep with opportunity and play. Can't blame any college kid with an opportunity like this to secure FU/retirement money in their early 20s.

Well stated. And I reckon they have to pay taxes like the rest of us worker bees so the take home is maybe 60% of the amounts quoted.

They help create their own revenue stream by helping set and publish player valuations that in turn lead to players demanding those amounts in the market, where On3 often gets a piece.

Every two weeks or so someone on Tnet posts their made up data. They ESTIMATE NIL revenue based on social media followers, period end of story. There don’t report any actuals because no one knows the details of private contracts.
PS Even though we don’t know, Cade deserves to be among the top paid players in CFB.
