Cade Kluless gave a lesson in how not to play the QB position the last 3 weeks

The run blocking has been bad this year, but the pass blocking has been good. There have been receivers open down field the past three games, Kluless just simply can’t see receivers down field. When receivers are down field open, he normally throws to a receiver that is covered only 5-7 yards from the line of scrimmage. He is completely ineffective in running the zone read. Makes the wrong read nearly every single time in the zone read and RPO. He has zero situational awareness. When he doesn’t have a receiver open instead of running the ball or throwing it away, he drifts back 10 yards causing himself to get in more trouble. He throws it to receivers when there are blanketed by the DB. He has zero ability to run the hurry up.

I told y’all last week he needed to be benched or this kind of play would continue. He is the worst QB I have ever seen at Clemson. DJU could get you 10 wins with a top 10 defense. We will be lucky to get to six wins if Cade Kluless continues to play. Time to bench him. We will not beat ND or UNC with multiple turnovers and multiple three and outs. Just not gonna happen. There is nothing left to play for except getting bowl eligible and beating Scar. Put in Helms and see what he can do. If he doesn’t work out, put in Vizzina and just get ready for next season.

Dabo is not going to bench Cade. He knows there are many problems on the team that are contributing to the poor play. We know DJU was not the sole reason the teamed played poorly last yr. And those problems still exist.

What three games have you watched where he's

had plenty of time and wr's are open down field? Not saying Cade is great but that line is garbage. If you watch the receivers, they run to a spot and stand there. Even on most completions there's usually a defender right there. Zero separation

Yes, route running and actually catching the ball are on the receivers coach

… to teach, emphasize, and manage. If the receivers understand the routes and run them precisely, the quarterback doesn’t have to spend as much time trying to find them.

This could be a quick fix… Jeff Scott??

Dont go down that road of making nicknames for

players. It’s a meanness that nobody needs.

Cade is doing his best, he’s not being coached very well or he’s not taking the coaching well. We don’t know. What we do know if there is something severely wrong with this team …and that is on Dabo.
