many mistakes at crucial points in the game to allow us to beat good teams. Falling down on the trick play that would have led to a wide open TD and maybe the game winner leading to a fumble for SC. Missing on a slant at 3rd and 1 to Wesco that would have easily got a first down if not a YD. Result is a punt. Throwing a ball 5 yards and getting an interception instead of taking care of the ball and allowing is a chance to extend the game in overtime. I can’t imagine him with his anxiety having thrown that ball to Renfrow with one second left that led to a Natty against Bama.
Re: Cade has improved from last year but makes too

Agree … I had super high hopes for Cade and don’t get me wrong he is a huge upgrade to DJ… but at this point he should be showing a little more as far as poise and just making big plays and limiting the dumb stuff… you have to have a balance of making big plays and just eating the ball sometimes or throwing it away. But with that said hes nowhere close to the level of DE or TL and I don’t know if we will ever see that again … point is Cade is a very good qb , I would say very much above average… he misses plays but all do, but I say all that to say I think a lot of this is on the scheme and play calling not putting this team in position to win. We have just become so boring and predictable on offense and without big time play makers especially at rb to help that type of play calling this is what you get.
With the improvement of our OL and the added talent at wr if you put an ETN in this offense the play calling looks genius bc we prob still score 30 a game… I don’t think our coaches do well at optimizing the talent we have with play calling… another thing is we still think we can just line up short yardage and bully ppl like we used to and it’s not the case… you HAVE to take the 3 points (albeit not given with our fg protection) that early in the game.
